Was trying to cut back.....but....

Mint Velvet long jumper, looks great with leggings/jeans/boots
Sweaty Betty leggings and top...really for going to gym, but could wear out.
Boden shorts,we are having a hot holiday in a few weeks, and my shorts were vile.
2 bras with matching knickers.

so much for frugal Febuary, still, managed to avoid the sales this year.

drywhite yes it was! I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought it was quite clearly not reptile... Confused. I love it. It smelled a bit TKMaxx-y when it arrived (but was all nicely wrapped and not some store reject like I was expecting) and it is currently on my bedroom floor so I can gaze at it from my bed because I am lazy because it doesn't have a home yet. There was a clutch version too I'm tempted to go back for...

bonzo77 · 14/02/2012 22:59

Phase 8 dress £26 down from £90.
Brora wrist warmers £19 down from £35.
Gap jean leggings £34 down from £49
No 17 mascara £4.50 staff discount

Dress might have been between Xmas and NY though, can't remember.

Doesn't sound like much but too much for me really. But selling stuff for parents on eBay for a hefty commission, so might make some of it back!

ArtVandelay · 15/02/2012 07:22

I'm feeling better too :)

TBH in the year following DS birth I barely bought a thing until I waited to see what size/ shape I was going to settle at.

drywhiteplease · 15/02/2012 07:35

constancechatterley it was 8 Jan......if it was last summer I wd look like Flat Stanley by now!!

pastgrace when I get new shoes (or bag) I always leave them by my bed so I can gaze lovingly at them! Even as a girl I did this...wierd simple pleasures!Grin

Viva what are the tummy control pants like? Are they any good? Also how much do they cost? Do they come in black?

I just want a v.flat stomach for a dress but no real bump or muffin top to hide. So once I start on the wine and forget to correct my posture/ hold tum in I'll still look okay.

Sorry for all the questions but I'll need to send someone in UK to Primark for me and then post them!

This thread is making me feel slightly less guilty - had planned to be good in January, then spent £200 in Fat Face in the sales about a week later Blush consisting of:

2 pairs pjs (summer & winter ones)
tunic top
jeans
lovely angora slouchy sweater
wrap dress
knickers
leather slouchy bag

Bargain really Smile

Also spent £30 on a style makeover for my Kindle (purple leather case)

iWILLdothis · 15/02/2012 11:44

oh, I forgot about the PJs I bought also.

MuslinSuit · 15/02/2012 12:10

CoolKat I fancy those red Next skinnies. I think they'd look good with my standards of leopard, neutrals and Breton stripes.

I must start low-carbing. I have just eaten cold Gruyere potato gratin and a chocolate flapjack for brunch Blush

marshmallowpies · 15/02/2012 12:17

2 pairs of shoes to wear at my wedding (1 heels, 1 flats) - good
2 H&M dresses that were cheap as chips - good
1 pair fingerless gloves to replace a lost pair - good

1 pair maternity leggings that were FAR too long for my legs and look ridiculous - bad
3 pairs maternity tights, only one of which fitted properly - bad
Wish I'd sent the stupid things back now, but of course it's too late once you've tried on a pair of tights and they've snagged already :(

Still need to buy a smart maternity dress to wear to 2 weddings in March. Haven't even started looking yet. Eeeek.

PurpleWithaBlueBun · 15/02/2012 12:22

I have bought a nursing top, two sets of maternity/nursing pjs all bargains from mothercare and cheapo pj trousers from the supermarket. All for my hospital bag and I haven't bought anything since about October! I hope to compensate once I have had the baby, especially as I need a nice nursing dress for a wedding. Might need some help with that!

Anyway dark indigo v nice)
