TIFFANY JAZZ rings

I am looking at these online and wondered if anyone had one? I am looking for a wedding ring replacement and want a modern looking ring that is "just a ring"- not a traditional eternity ring.

A local jeweller advised me not to have a full circle ring for everyday due to wear and tear- so just wondering...they do the Jazz ring in a half circle.

and also- is Tiffany name over substance?

Link please?

Personally, if you're planning on spending upwards of £2k I'd find a jeweller who can make something bespoke for you. You can exactly what you want and know that it's unique. And you're not paying for a brand name.

Had a look on the american tiffany site and they all appear to be fully bezel set. It really depends if you want to go around telly people it is Tiffany or not. If not then why bother - the gold/platinum is the same and you can specify the size and grading of the diamonds that you want elsewhere. It doesn't look to be an intricate design with lots of complicated filigree work etc. Why not look into the cost of a bespoke design? Then it will be one of a kind and exactly to your requirements (and I'm almost certain it would cost the same, if not cheaper).

can't do links- just go to www.tiffany.co.uk and look at Jazz rings on menu system.

Queribus The only problem I have with that idea- suggested by a few people in RL too- is that I feel very uneasy about having something made bespoke and not being able to try it on or see it first. Then I'd be committed to buying.

not telly - telling!

mrsmartin · 04/02/2012 12:11

with bespoke designers they usually make it for you in silver first so you can try it on etc

mrsmartin · 04/02/2012 12:15

Try emailing a couple to ask about the process

www.hkjewellery.co.uk/

This company have won loads of awards and are well established

Any good jeweller will make it in silver for you to try. You can still make changes at this stage, or reject it and start again. And they should spend lots of time discussing your ideas, preferences etc.

Thanks!

Hello, with bespoke jewellery we make mock ups so that you can try on and see the development at each step.
If you use an independent jeweller you are also more likely to get better diamonds in the ring for £2000 than a tiffany. You're just paying for the name with them.

ameliagrey · 04/02/2012 14:50

Thanks all- am going to go to HK as suggested and have bespoke!

I have the tiffany Metro ring (though I agree it's name over substance, but I didn't choose or buy it and I have to cut DH some slack). It is a full circle diamond band and I've not had any trouble with wear and tear, but I don't wear it often (it goes well with my engagement ring, which I also don't wear often).
