Recomendations for best (cheapish) facial products

Hi everyone.
I'm wanting your opinions on your prefered facial products (cleanser, face wash, toner, moisturiser, etc.) please. Can't afford anything too expensive but really need to change from what I'm using.
I have been using a supermarket 's own brand products but they have made my face go really dry.
I have normal skin type normally.
Want opinions so that I don't go and buy new products to find that they are rubbish too.

Boots Botanics is pretty good for the price.

Superdrug's Vitamin E range gets good press. The Natural High Radiance Balm is bloody brilliant here and often on BOGOF.

Simple range gets my vote every time

Never tried it but Lucia (sp) range from Aldi seems to be recommended by lots on here.

Neutrogena face washes and moisturisers are great and often 1/3 off in boots.

Thanks everyone. I appreciate your posts and will have a good look at each one the next time I go into town.

I second the Simple recommendation. My skin dries out really easily too and their Refreshing Facial Wash Gel is the best cleanser I've ever had - gentle, keeps spots away and non drying. It's better than all the high end stuff i've tried.

Nivea - I've tried all sorts of expensive stuff (clarins, caudalie, Liz earle) but always come back to nivea. Currently using the anti-ageing ones which are a bit pricey (about £10 for a jar), but I think the basic moisturiser is pretty good in itself

Vaseline intensive care dry skin moisturiser for face (new, £5.65)

Best moisturiser ever. I have always gone for really expensive brands before but when I forgot to pack my usual Dr Hauschka one (good but v pricey) whilst staying at a friends, she gave me that to use. My skin felt better immediately and since I bought a tube, it's a revelation!

Aldi's Lacura range is very good and very cheap, I'm currently using the night cream and the illuminating day cream and my skin feels lovely.

M&S more expensive ranges and Superdrug vitamin E are both good.

Organic Surge from Boots, you can also buy online, everything is £5 to £10 and nasty free
