I've got thick, wavy/curly shoulder length hair. I currently wash it in a natural shampoo and then comb through conditioner in the shower, rinse it out then apply frizz ease while it's soaking wet. All I do after that is scrunch a bit of Frizz Ease mousse through and the results are okay, but I want to be AMAZED!

I just wondered which products others have found to be good? Oh, and I've already tried Boots Curl Creme - think it's ok, but not fantastic!

TIA

Trevor Sorbie beautiful curls curl creme. They also do a hair mask for curly hair. Very good.

I used to use VO5 curl stuff (can't remember), but I don't think they make it anymore. That was fabulous IME.

Frizz Ease 3 day straight, however you do need to use your straightners after applying

Just to be sure minty, you want your hair to remain curly rather than ending up straight? I use Aveda be curly lotion or creme but think I will now try Trevor Sorbie as recommended by Solo as I am getting a bit bored.

I really like Kerastase Oleo-Curl Crème d?Huile and Bumble&Bumble Curl Conscious conditioner and creme.

Great, thanks all. Lio, yes you're right, I WANT it curly, not straight!

Check out the curly girls uk website they recommend lots of products and simple things like not using a towel round your hair after washing it (saps moisture out) and most importantly giving up silicones (all the frizz ease stuff) to create a better curl. I've adapted the routine and think its great

Thanks Willy. I've looked at the Curly Girl routine before - might revisit!

Lucky you! I'm not blessed myself but several of my best friends have curly hair and they've all gradually been converted by a hairdresser one of them found and all now have amazing curls. I introduced another curly haired friend to him and sat with her when she had her haircut. His main tips seem to be not to use shampoo at all, just use conditioner to wash your hair and never go near a towel to dry it. He also combed hair before rinsing it through. One friend never uses a hairdryer and another uses a diffuser carefully. He also said it can take some weeks for curls to get back to their full shape when you start doing this.

Bumble and bumble curl conscious defining creme on damp hair, and sometimes Aveda curl creme on dry. Usually don't need that if I use the B and b, so just run the Aveda through of a morning if I get a bit fluffy overnight and don't want to wash it again.

Thank you all.

I've decided to try the curly girl routine (no shampoo etc...) and see how it works! I've been out this morning and bought the necessary items. Wish me luck!
