Make-up and make-up brush storage ideas?

What do you keep your make-up in? I currently keep it all loose in the top drawer of my chest of drawers but am moving and won't have the same space/bedroom configuration.

I need something that isn't ugly as it'll be out on display, really practical so that I can access it all without getting everything out each morning. Doesn't have to be massive as I don't have a ridiculous amount of 'stuff' now that I've had a clear out.

Any ideas?!

I had a metal case similer to the ones used by air hostesses in 70s can't think what it was called anyway it worked to keep things accessable

I can't link from my iPod but search 'really useful box 3 litre' in amazon (I got mine from Hobbycraft though).

It 's what I use and I think it's perfect. It looks really tidy and is the perfect size to fit a decent stash of make up plus full size brushes. I like that I can see where things are without tipping everything out and it has nice clippy handles.

I have lots of clear acrylic drawers and boxes from Muji, love them especially the drawers with flip top lids

I have a mini chest of drawers from ikea here & a little pot for brushes on the top.

A nice vanity box, amazon have some for about £25, worth it as will last for ever.

Ikea's glass shelved bathroom cabinets are also fantastic. They require little space, hold a lot and look quite sleeky. You need to pare down your collection to the very essentials though (= get rid of the Kanebo powder foundation from 1999 that is two shades too dark for your skintone).
