What to wear for Olympic job interview

Please, your advice with this.
I have an interview on Friday for a job with London 2012 as a team manager/coordinator type person (sorry but they haven't actually told me yet what the job is, see my other post on this for more detail!)

Anyway to fill the few days before the interview where I might actually find out what they want and how much they are going to pay me, I thought I'd panic about what to wear.

I am not a suit type person. I usually wear woodland work clothes (for my other job, landscaping), or jeans, skate trainers and jumpers, or I dress up retro to the nines for going out and dancing.
I have a naice tweed jacket and some skirts....

I really don't know what to wear. I assume jeans and trainers are out. I have to get to London and across it by public transport carrying an overnight bag too. I'm worried about turning up hot and flustered.

Told DP last night that I might go in full flourescent 80's running kit complete with towelling headband that makes your hair go like a mushroom, and keep jogging and doing star jumps through the interview.

Do you think they'd like that?

Canary Wharf. But I've seen that on the info they have sent me it says to please not leave any luggage in reception without notifying them.
So I guess I could do it if I did notify them?

I'd call and check in advance. The downstairs reception won't have space but once you get to the locog floor I'm sure they'll have somewhere for you. If not I'm in the same building you can pm me and I'll keep it on our floor (at another company in tge building, not locog) and you can collect when done if that helps?

Wow really? Thanks! Will call them in the morning and check, otherwise I'll pm you, Angel.

Hey.
You're not my interviewer are you?

Oooh, late to the party as always... if you change your mind, there's a lovely 60s-style suit in the asos sale- skirt and jacket. Not for the faint-hearted though Wink

Well I looked fantastic in my swirly brown jersey number but the impact was slightly offset by all the thermals underneath and jumpers on top. So I crept into Pret (it's underground! All the shops at Canary Wharf are underground!) and like a bag lady spent ages with one coffee whilst I peeled off layers and repacked my case til it threatened to pop.
Swapped my leather boots for the red shoes too, I think I deserved a Brownie guide badge!

I may have affected my chances of success by mishearing one of the interviewers names and calling him Hashish Blush Blush but all in all it went well.

However if they offer me the job I won't be able to take it as there is no option to work from home at any point. They looked a bit dismayed when I brought it up as they as are well behind in their progress at the mo.

Thanks for all the advice though, I don't mind cos at least I got a new dress!

Well done, sounds like you did well, shame about the lack of home working though... But good for the confidence I'd you are offered it.
