I've not tried Betty Hula, but I do make skincare for a living.
And no, not trying to promote my own products (though my serum is fab) but Betty Hula ingreds:
Grapeseed Oil, Apricot Kemel, Avocado Oil, Hemp Oil, Vitamin E, Rose Absolute, Jojoba Oil.
Rose Absolute, costs a fortune, 'tis an essential oil
Grapeseed oil - Fast absorbed and leaves a lovely skin feel. you can get from Holland and Barrett i think
Vitamin E is good for helping the skins elasticity but there will probably only be 1% in it as it acts as a preservative (this is standard), again, you can get it fromH&B
Avocado - you can get from tescos, very good for dry, mature and problem skin. i use it a lot.
Hemp - not an oil I use, or researched, so I can;t comment.
Apricot and Jojoba, 2 lovely oils and well worth using. Jojoba however, is very expensive.
To try at home:
You could try something simple like Rice Bran Oil (tescos) Rice bran is incredibly light and fast to absorb and is said to be good for anti-aging, irritated skin, and is gentle enough for sensitive skins. Just use about 1/2 a tea-spoons worth and gently massage into your face. It is also incredibly cheap
.
Sweet Almond Oil too is great for eczema and helps soothe problem skin. Again, you can get this from H&B.
Oil is nothing to be scared of in your face, and simple one oil serums are great for trying at home. The blends like Betty Hula (and mine) will have been created with a wider customer base in mind, and will have looked at how the different oils work together in helping your skin look great. Simple Oils, fancy blends, whatever works for you. I would try the Rice Bran or Sweet Almond Oil route 1st, and see how that improves your skin. These oils are also great for all over the body too.
