Have a pair which I bought for a couple of pounds about three years ago in a charity shop and never worn... Now need new work shoes and can't afford any, could I wear these or do you think they are frumpy??? (I'm 34 if that helps?)

I think they are absolutely fine for work. Frumpy if worn for going out.

HarrietSchulenberg · 26/01/2012 22:04

I wouldn't wear them but I'm no fashion queen. Boots are my thing. Chunky ones. I have the style sense of a scarecrow.

If you want to get some wear out of them put them on with long trousers that the hems come down over. So that just your toes peep out.

bucketbetty · 26/01/2012 22:07

Yes very frumpy. How old are you
?

Chocamochalatte · 26/01/2012 22:10

Harriet, that's how I was planning to wear them...

Betty, I'm 34...

Then, Choca me old mate, you'll be just fine.

ReneandGeorgetteMagritte · 26/01/2012 22:14

yes, they are shoes like the Queen wears

MuslinSuit · 26/01/2012 22:16

Frump McFrumpster I'm afraid.

bucketbetty · 26/01/2012 22:17

No choca, you're way too young, beautiful and stylish to wear those shoes. You can have comfy and stylish. I'm on my phone or I'd look online for you. Buy a couple of classy mags for inspiration. I like harpers or instyle.

SixtyFootDoll · 26/01/2012 22:17

Totally frumpy

cyb · 26/01/2012 22:17

Yes. AWFUL

Chocamochalatte · 26/01/2012 22:17

Hmm...

They are fine for work, particularly under trousers. Not on the cutting-edge of style, perhaps, but unless you work at Vogue, does it matter?

FunnysInTheGarden · 26/01/2012 22:19

sorry I agree that they are frumpy, but RC can be very like that. Even for work they are a no

bucketbetty · 26/01/2012 22:24

Bloody phone. I'll try again. Get yourself to selfridges or similar and ask the shop assistants to help you find what suits you. You don't have to buy anything.

perplexedpirate · 26/01/2012 22:39

Frumpy I'm afraid.

Chocamochalatte · 26/01/2012 22:44

Okay, so they're frumpy... But they'll be the height of fashion sometime soon won't they?!? (they aaare comfortable :o )

Soooo where can I buy cheap but lovely looking and comfortable shoes pref leather for my fat wide feet???

M and S every time - their footglove range are super comfy and they do lots of good styles.
