I thought I was going to die first time I did level 1. Little did I know. I genuinely thought I was having a heart attack. I had to stop because my heart rate was pounding, I felt sick and dizzy and my vision went blurred. I lay on the floor of my hotel room with my mobile in my hand in case I had to call an ambulance. Entirely futile, as there is no signal in the room I'm in! I don't even know why because I couldn't do a lot of it. Why did nobody warn me that you have to be able to plank for level 2? Hmm? All you dedicated shredders and nobody mentions it! And the moves are much more complex and I have no co ordination. I don't know if I will ever be able to transition to level 2. Has an in coordinated klutz with no core strength ever managed it?

Oh goodness me, that new davina DVD is awful! I was so irritated with it. Did level 2 shred first, followed by warm up, 80% of the fat buster, the first minute of the other sections, all the abs and the cool down section. I now make it my new new resolution to never watch it again. Davina is so incredibly irritating - argghhh. It's jillian all the way for me now Grin

I actually prefer level 2 to level 1. When doing level 1 I would actually have nightmares about it!

It definitely does make my heartbeat to it's maximum. But I like to exercise HARD iykwim.

Thanks for the plank links - Day 3 of level 1 done today :)

Tyson86 · 19/01/2012 21:43

Level 1 day 3 here, I cant do planks Shock I will be on level 2 forever Hmm

MissFoodie · 19/01/2012 22:58

I struggled with day 3 of level 1 last night :(
will try again tomorrow! onwards and upwards!

Ok, so have done level 2 for the second time, and it was much improved. I am however cheating - I do modified press ups instead of 'walk out' press ups, and jumping jacks instead of plank jacks, and bicycle crunches instead of the planks oblique twists. Not sure I'll ever master any of those, but I was much more coordinated on the other moves. There is hope!

Fourth time and I am making progress (though 20 mins after finishing I am still dripping in sweat. Yuk). I manage the modified plank walk out press ups (ie: no actual pressing up, just planking, but this is huge progress) and have even managed plank jacks and plank squats. Actually prefer them because easier on the knees. Still having problems with the last abs move - the planks with an oblique twist. I'm not strong enough and end up it's my ass way up in the air. This is so much harder than level 1. After 4 sessions of level 1 I could feel the difference. I still am panting, exhausted, sweaty, bright red. Not pretty!

it shows it is working you always want to be sweaty and bright red cos that means you are in the fat burning zone.

IMO the chair squats with v raises (?) in L2, NEVER get easier Wink

hermioneweasley · 27/01/2012 21:10

I am managing to do more of the routines, but it doesn't get any easier! I will never be able to move to level 3!

I’m so grateful for your words about level 2. I’m on day 2 and the jump up in difficulty was sharp. I feel like I’m dying especially by the end. But loving it too. Even her girls in this one look like they are struggling. I’m keeping it going only 8 days left !!
