Soft bra to sleep in for 32GG/H ish mahoosive norks...PLEASE!

I'm pregnant and have gone up two or three cup sizes as in my last pg but my bosoms have at least doubled in weight and are really tingly.

I desperately want a soft crop-top type bra to sleep in but can't find any in the right sort of size. If it stretches enough for my boobs it's not tight enough in the band, it seems. I have one of those Bravado things I got last time I was pg but it only fits when I'm not pg, and the next band size up is too big.

I'm not after anything that will lift and separate, just something that will grip and soothe, iyswim! :( Any ideas please?

I had the same issue and did not find anything decent. I hope you manage to find a solution though and I can copy you !

Try the genie bra or a crop top you can order from simply yours website in your size

maydaychild · 15/01/2012 22:16

ANITA
even the wired ones will leave you in total bra awe
It's the rosa faia range - figleaves or rigby sell them.
Expensive, sorry but you will never buy another make again

kotuku · 15/01/2012 22:21

Agree with Mayday, I found the R&P maternity bras really comfortable:

rooksby · 15/01/2012 22:23

I haven't tried Anita but think it was their wired feeding bras I am planning to try once baby is born...I will have a look, I am no stranger to expensive bras unfortunately!

I tried Simply Yours site but everything suitable didn't start til a 34 or 36, and reviews suggest there is no way a genie bra will contain H cups. I'll see if they have them in BHS and try one but I don't hold out much hope.

Off to trawl figleaves for Anita now!

I am same size. Started pg with a bravissimo pyjama cami thing, then moved to a bravado ++ pull-on nursing bra. Which fitted me fine.

I feel your pain though.

rooksby · 15/01/2012 22:29

Can anyone recommend a style in the Anitas? They look very "bra-y", I really want something cotton with as few seams as possible, this is only for bed - I have bras for day (Hotmilk) which are great but I have really sensitive skin and need to get out of synthetic fibres by bedtime...

heliumballoon when was this? The bravado is comfy but the sizes just don't work for me, my boobs are too big for the ++ but the band on the medium was too loose, I'm just wondering if they changed the cut or something?

I feel like I'm going mental, the weight of the bloody things is giving me headaches. They weren't this heavy last time when the milk came in!

OOH what if I bought a genie bra type thing that fitted the norks, then put a big tuck in the back to make it tight, would that work maybe?

I think I'm going to try this

If I do I shall report back.

I had that one when I was pregnant with dd and it saw me through two subsequent pregnancies and is now getting on for 11 years old. I went up to a 32GG when pregnant and bf ds2 and I squeezed myself into it. I still wear it when on my period sometimes for the extra comfort.

Coldcuppacoffee · 15/01/2012 22:44

Royce nursing bras. They're really soft and you don't need to wait until baby arrives ( I wish someone had told me earlier!).

Or go to bravissimo for a proper fit.

Or wear two tight vest tops- that was ok for me.

...and get a cabbage in for when the baby arrives!

heliumballoon · 15/01/2012 22:46

Well, I'm wearing a bravado one right now. It's the "original" one so probably if it didn't work for you before it might not have been redesigned. The Born website has a number of bravado bras, worth a quick look.

rooksby · 15/01/2012 22:54

Have ordered two of those. Fingers crossed!

Royce are AWFUL on me, the cups are too wide somehow and pressed my boobs round under my arms. Bravissimo in this town is a joke, in my last pregnancy the pushy woman tried to sell me something in a 36 because that's all they had in, when I pointed out to her that it was up round my neck at the back and far too big she tried to say I "didn't know how a correctly fitting bra should feel" - erm, ok!

I don't know if I've been clear in my OP, I don't need bras, just something to sleep in, I'm sorted for pregnancy bras :)

I'm a 38h and wear a mothercare sleep bra so comfy!!

maydaychild · 16/01/2012 16:08

This one
P

They used to do this in the neutral colours but not anymore. Rotters. But this is same bra.

rooksby · 16/01/2012 20:51

That does look nice, I will order that once the milk has come in and the final size been decided.

It would be nicer in plain black but is a massive improvement on the nylon leopard print number I breastfed in last time!

The soft bras have arrived and I am pleased to say they are just what I was after :) got one on now, and it's actually quite supportive!

I reckon if you are bigger than about an H cup, try going up to the next size - they are very small off so I think that would still give enough support around the ribcage.

Happy :)

It's the Anita maternity crop top sleep bra that I linked to earlier btw, and think they were £14.75 each.
