will this offend my hair dresser do you think?

i usually see the same hair dresser and have done for years at Mark Hill salon.

i have booked an appointment in Feb, but i now think i will be away on a course so i rang today to rebook it - im desperate for my highlights doing and a trim....

i explained to the receptionist that i could do to get in asap with anyone....

she asked me if i would sooner wait to see my usual stylist....i said No - just get me in with anyone (knowing that there would be a long wait to see my own stylist, plus i am in a bit of a hair rut - long bob, but last few times my hairdresser has cut my sides shorter than the back so it looks horribly mumsy.....im growing it so dont want to get much off the length but could do without the shorter sides)
am now booked in with a different stylist in a week.

after wards i thought about it - i wonder if this will offend my usual hairdresser? is it going to be horribly awkward when i turn up and see someone else after so long?

im a chicken....i said to receptionist to tell her why im not waiting for her to do it but not sure she will....does this sort of thing bother hairdressers?

im going to feel weird about it...

I think you are over thinking it all, i doubt she'll care tbh :)

think youre worrying too much.usual wasnt available and youre not fusses so youre going with someone else.wouldnt worry!

They won't care.

I think you're worrying too much - you need your hair done quickly and yours and her availability doesn't match up so you need to see someone else. I am sure this happens a lot.

i think its just because ive been going there for years now and never seen another hair dresser....but my roots are bad so needs sorting asap and wont hurt to have it cut by someone else - i might just start asking to see anyone - take pot luck! at least it will get me out of my hair rut.

plus the costs are worked out on stylist seniority.....could work out cheaper.

itll be fine.youll come out looking stunning with salon hair, usual hairdresser will be hiding out the back thinking 'phew she got the message'Grin

i always go to same one but book well in advance because i love her.oh and i dye at home so its no great tragedy if i have to wait a week.

good luck!

I found then when I did similar, I actually preferred the way they did my hair. Since then, I have been waiting till my stylist is on their day off and ringing at very short notice to book in with the new person. Once, this backfired, as I booked in with the new person and arrived to find that my usual stylist in fact was in, and had swapped my appointment to him
