can you help me find some flat shoes please?

I am recovering from a bad back, undiagnosed at this stage. I have been wearing my converse, but will be going back to work next week (hopefully), and normally wear, in this weather, my knee high, high healed boots, or when weather ok, high-healed court style shoes. I don't think it is a good idea atm!

If you can find me some great comfy boots, ideal, but I am happy to wear my wellies to work in this weather when DH not giving me a lift, and change when there (once there, inside a heated building all day). So flat shoes would be ideal.

I like rocket dog style ballet pumps but am open to suggestions, can't find any in my size (that are in a sale!) (5 or 6). I have not bought myself shoes for a very long time and don't really know what I want!

They need to be black, or, if very cheap, can be another colour then I can buy two pairs, one black and one fun, and I would like them to be fashionable, fun, but comfortable to wear.

Come and help please?!!!

If you like ballet pumps, look for French Sole on ebay. They are vv expensive new, but most people don't know to buy at least a size bigger than usual so loads of them end up on ebay and you can get some bargains. e.g. here

check out www.duoboots.com - they have 50% off in their current sale, and prices start from around £60 for the flat Malmo knee boots which are gorgeous (but alas not available in my size). They also have a few ballet pump style shoes in their sale for around the £45 mark. They are usually pretty good quality, but measure your feet carefully first (following their guidelines) as delivery is £5 a pair and returns are at your own (great) expense. If you are in London or Bath, they have branches there.
