Where can i buy boys jeans which are longer in the body?

DS1 is 6 1/2 but wears 7-8 year old jeans. He has long legs and is long in the body so always seems to be pulling his jeans up round his waist to stop them slipping down. The jeans he has are not too big round the waist just seem to work their way down and this annoys him.Can anybody suggest a shop where the jeans/trousers are longer in the body part?
Any help would be great as im at a loss.

TIA.

I just bought jeans from boots and they are very long in the leg.

nowadoubledee · 31/12/2011 10:03

We have the same problem here. I always end up at GAP but I'm interested in other suggestions

Sparklingbrook · 31/12/2011 10:06

Debenhams may be worth a go. Lots of different brands to try. Ds1 is quite long but they seem to fit from there. Blue Zoo I think.

Mumleigh · 31/12/2011 10:19

My 6 year old wears age 8 jeans and I have only ever found suitable jeans in Debenhams. Blue Zoo or Ted Baker seem to fit the best.

nobodysfool · 31/12/2011 11:21

thanks for the suggestions. GAP and Debenhams it is then Smile

I have the answer!! Duck&Dodge jeans at BHS. Normal leg length, high but not wide waist, few different styles and denim washes. Only brand my DS can wear that dont require him to hoike them up when running or flash bum cleave. About £10 a pair.

Boden slim/skinny jeans are good and wash fantastically well - I buy to the size guide not the age my ds in age 8 as well (is 6) - there or GAP do a slim jean - otherwise they look really bulky, NEXT didn't work for us, H&M sometimes although last lot didnt wash as well....

nobodysfool · 31/12/2011 18:22

TiraMissYou- Fantastic! I will try BHS then.Thank you!

3rdnparty- I will have a look at these as well thanks.

You're welcome nobodysfool Smile.
Ds 1 & 2 have just rushed past and on a quick waistband grab and inspect I can condirm DS 2 wearing duck&dodge jeans aged 6 (he is 5) and DS 1 (nearly 8) is in aged 8 BHS Flashback jeans. Not a bum crack in sight!

TiraMissYou · 31/12/2011 22:39

condirm = confirm... blurry nye booze!

My son has started wearing a pair of Boden slim/ skinny jeans in the past week or so, and I was struck that they seem quite short in the body, with a very low rise. This is despite being size 4-5 for a 3 1/2 year old. He is wearing them with the adjustable waistband on the lowest possible and with a biggish turn-up. However, he loves them and is quite happy with this. He has some longish T shirts age 4-5 that he has just got, so that looks ok.

I think his Frugi trousers had a higher rise, not sure what age they go up to, though.
