New job starts on the 3rd. I have nothing decent to wear until I'm measured for my uniform. Hair is always a greaseball and I look, and feel like an overweight slob!!

Please help me spruce up my imagine on a shoe string before I sit in the corner and rock!!

What sort of job? How smart do you need to be?

ThatVikRinA22 · 22/12/2011 18:40

hair - how long is it?
how long since you had a good cut?
if its greasy you will need to wash it more, unless its being caused by over washing already. i do mine every other day for same reason, and have it highlighted to dry it up a bit.

clothes - smart casual or smart suit?
size?
whats the job? (roughly)
budget?

all this will help us gok ya! (girl-friend)!!

What's your basic body shape? Which are your best/worse bits?

KnickersOnOnesHead · 22/12/2011 18:55

Smart-ish. Home care assistant but will be in office once or twice a week.

Hair is should length (just) Washed every other day and usually tied up.

Lost weight so a 16/18 now. Not sure what my 'shape' is? Fat is a shape isn't it? Hmm

Budget, next to nothing!

ooooo now ive got to go out! but im sure you will get gokked....

PattySimcox · 22/12/2011 20:16

Knickers I'm a care assistant and before my uniform arrived was told to wear black comfy shoes, black trousers and a t-shirt / blouse.

You mentioned "the office" - are you doing office work too? Or just popping in to sort paperwork? If the former then just a plain smart shift dress is an easy option

PattySimcox · 22/12/2011 20:17

Oh and hair - always tied back - if you are involved in food prep / serving you want it out of the way; same if you're doing personal care

KnickersOnOnesHead · 22/12/2011 20:18

I'm not sure what office stuff, probably paper work, yes. Have training too, the NVQ's.

body shape

KnickersOnOnesHead · 22/12/2011 21:27

I'm going to stick a photo on my profile, I was a dress size or two bigger on it, but still the same shape.

Cute kids!

I would go for straightish skirts, maybe with a bit of a kick/flute at the bottom, they should end at the slimmest part of your leg, probably on the knee (just a tad longer than the dress your wearing sort of shape. Do you have any knee length boots? Duo sale has started, maybe a good Christmas present idea?
Tops, maybe go for this sort of shape
Shrugs or cardys, keep them fairly short. Shoes should be chunky heel and round toe.
Sainsburys and Asda do ladies clothes at really good prices, might be worth a look there. HTH.
