Has anyone got Celtic-Sheepskin boots?

I'm still on the hunt for the perfect sheepskin boot Blush
I ordered myself some Emu boots but when they arrived they were too wide (although snug in length) and my heels slipped up and down immediately which was not comfy..so they went back. I tried Fitflops Mukluks..liked but they don't have sheepskin insoles.. Uggs.. I'm a little reluctant because I don't just want to pay for a name..tried on the 6.5s and they were a bit tight tho I know they will stretch.

A friend recommended Celtic-Sheepskin ones..I tried hers on and they were mega comfy, plus genuinely british..still expensive tho not quite as mad as UGGS. She hasn't had hers long enough to know if they will last tho, so just wondered if anyone has got any, before I take the plunge. Ta!

I've got the Aqualamb ones which are just entering their second year having been tramped through endless amounts of snow last year. They still look as good as new, are warm as toast and still nice and fluffy inside. Am not sure how much more waterproof than the normal ones are but wanted ones that were not going to get soaked in the rain and snow.

Oh and my sheepskin slippers are from Celtic sheepskin too, v highly recommended!

I have a pair of the classic boots, for schlepping around the house in. They'll be three years old this Christmas and still look really good and have been worn loads (we live in a very drafty, cold house with slate floors - so warm footwear is essential). Apparently if they ever need repairing, patching or new soles you can send them back to the factory and get them sorted - although I think/hope it will be some time before I need this service! Worth the £££ investment I think!

I've had my mocca ones for over two years and I live in them (also live in a cold, drafty place). I definitely think they are worth the money, although I managed to save on postage by picking them up from the factory Xmas Wink

Their repair service is grand too, I've not had to use it yet but know happy customers that have. I wish I had used it on my first pair that I had ten years ago before I wore them out completely!

I've had the house boots for a while and will shortly be on my second pair of sheepskin slippers - they lasted about three years of near constant use (even through recent "summers"). Their footwear all seems to be very good quality. If you join their email mailing list you might receive their fairly frequent discounts/offers - I don't know if you have to have bought something to get these, but if so, I can also recommend their sheepskin insoles!

My daughter and I have had 4 pairs of their boots between us, we wear their slippers too - I love their 'Scuffs'. The boots have been brilliant - much better than Uggs as they have proper thick soles so you don't 'walk over' in them and they have proper snow grip. They are SOOOO warm. I have a totally OTT apricot pair with studs up the side and some more restrained blue ones. I've never tried it, but I think you can stuff them in the washing machine.

I've got the biker boots from cs love them much better then my uggs. Would never buy brand uggs again. Celtic cheaper and much better

LaurieFairyCake · 20/12/2011 09:17

I have the Celtic shortie ones and I've washed them about 6 times - all came out perfect - I put them on top of the wood burner to dry wrapped in a towel. The outer 'skin' part does get a bit stiff but few days of wearing them again they soften.

They are much much better than UGGS, longer lasting, stronger and (most importantly for me) British.

I have the Classic ones. Bought them 4 years ago. I don't think they're great outside, as I used to slip and slide just on wet pavements, and they are not waterproof, not many boots are I don't think, unless it specifically says waterproof on the label. But they make the best slippers.

Celtic sheepskin also do sheepskin insoles...so you could buy them and put them in the Fitflop boots you liked.
