Boden leggings - worth the money?

Have just got a pair of Boden leggings in black and tried them on. They feel fine but are not as thick as I expected them to be. they seem to be like thin thick tights to me.

Do they hold their shape well or go baggy at the knees and do they wash well and not snag. I don't do leggings normally and this is my first pair.

They wash up like new every time. I have been using them for yonks and have never found them to go baggy at the knees. I would not buy anything else, and trust me, I'm not a boden girl!

I am so utterly not a Boden Gel either, but their leggings are the best in my extensive collection.

rookiemater · 17/12/2011 19:14

Definitely worth the money. I wear mine all the time and they are not baggy. I am definitely a Boden girl Xmas Smile

Hmm, now I am a Boden girl, but in all honesty I couldn't recommend their leggings. They are thin, bobble, and seem to stretch easily - I'm a size 10/12 btw and have them in 8's and 10's.

My faves by a long way, are 'Flexees by Maidenform fat free dressing'. The only downside is they are shortish in the leg ie above ankle bone on me - my inside leg is 30".

They are brilliant and wear and wash well.

I like them, and am not a boden girl too poor.

Thank you ladies. I have decided to keep them for now.

One more question though. Do I need to buy a smaller size than usual?

OP posts:
snailsontour · 18/12/2011 23:33

I'd say yes, size down by at least one size.

miche8 · 19/12/2011 09:01

i have some that are quite old now, the summer ones are thinner material than the winter ones but both have worn and washed well, always size down, mine have not faded or bobbled and do not go baggy after a couple of hours.

I also have some from monsoon, they had nice colours but they have started to fade and they go baggy after a couple of hours.

willali · 19/12/2011 09:03

they sare the best leggings and worth every penny - do not tumble dry them though as they do shrink a bit if you do Blush

OatcakeCravings · 19/12/2011 10:37

No don't keep them! Last year their leggings were the best ever - I have two pairs and they still look like new. I bought two pairs this year and they are crud in comparison. They are really really thin and they look quite papery thin when I sit down (possibly my fat legs to blame but still!).

KWL51 · 19/12/2011 10:44

at least one size down, as a size 26 elsewhere the 22 fit and even the 20- fit without being stretched.
now at 12/14 i buy the 10.
my larger oens were still good enough to sell on ebay after a years usage with no fading, baggy knees etc, although this years are a bit thinner than last years they still seem to be washing fine and not see through.
funnily enough the only other leggings i would buy now are the primark tummy tamer ones, lovely thick fabric not see through and wash and wear well.

strictlyxmas · 19/12/2011 21:28

I love them, have a few pairs now and they wash really well..

BotoxBitch · 29/10/2014 14:39

Bought these last year, within a few months had a hole in bum covered in bobbles
