Which slip with this dress

I bought this dress in Boden sale this week. My very first wool dress, thought I was too short and fat curvy to wear anything like that. Anyway, I'm very pleased with it, its quite low at the front and I wore it with a Hobbs camisole underneath, which then left a bit of a roll in the middle where it ruched up when I was wearing it. A slip would solve that problem, but where to find a nice one, as it shows a fair bit at the front? Thanks for your help Xmas Smile

Gorgeous dress. Don't know where you'd find a suitable slip, I'd probably try M&S first.

I find slightly less clingy camisoles don't roll up, especially of they're a sensible length.

Careful - I wore a full slip with a Boden woollen dress and during the day it worked its way up and out through the v neck! Hadn't been to the loo or looked in the mirror all day so was a big surprise.

why do you need one - is it see through?

neuroticmumof3 Thankyou, I am rather pleased with it (not normally finding anything that suits my enormous norks hourglass shape)

didldidi I need one or else you see most of the front of my bra! My Hobbs camisole did that job, but was lumpy in the middle.

Hopefully Good point, that could work, but my less clingy ones are more nylony/underwear type rather than one I want to show.

I wear no slip underneath my wool dresses.

I sometimes put a brooch (or safety pin) in a strategic place

Do you (or anyone you know) sew? You could just pop a bit of fabric in to "bridge the gap" if a pin or simple stitch or two won't do.

mumtoted · 14/12/2011 22:23

Yes I sew, that's quite a good idea. Its a lovely deep V, which is why its flattering to me, so don't want to pin it or cover it with a brooch. Thanks.
