Oh wow if I COULD SHAVE 10 oops caps minutes off my drying time I would be very happy!

MidnightinMoscow · 23/12/2011 15:21

Well, I think you'll be happy then!

You need to learn to move the hairdryer a lot more than when you are using a standard one because it gets so hot. I am usually hairdryer/MN'ing/Parenting/putting on make-up all at the same time!

1gglePiggle · 23/12/2011 22:15

Saw in look magazine this week that the ghd ionic one has good reviews. Anyone got any experience of it?

valiumredhead · 24/12/2011 10:56

The one I have now is a Toni and Guy one midnight and I have to do a fair bit of moving around as it's hotter/more powerful than a bog standard one.

Will order it after Xmas and report back! :)

valiumredhead · 24/12/2011 14:55

Think I want this one - good price and free delivery too

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha Grin Grin

ggirl · 26/12/2011 17:04

have had a go and to be brutally honest it's not as mind blowing as I thought it was going to be
best thing is the cold shot is actually cold quickly so sets the oomph
but the actual power is prob similar to my babyliss one

OP posts:
valiumredhead · 26/12/2011 17:08

Ahhhh I did wonder as much - that is why I am going to order the bigger sort that they use in the hairdressers my hair needs lots of power as it's thick. Good news about the cool shot as I need that. Tell me about the concentrator nozzles...

ggirl · 26/12/2011 17:45

nozzles..there are two, not sure what the difference is..at a glance they look similar but there's obv some diff
good for doing roots and smoothing hair, better nozzle than my babyliss cos they actually stay on the dryer
saying this my hair needs root lift and then I use the babyliss bighair for smooth and swishy

valiumredhead · 28/12/2011 10:13

Just ordered - will use it and report back with a critique asap! Grin

valiumredhead · 30/12/2011 21:16

It arrived!

Oh wow it is amazing, REALLY powerful but doesn't blow your hair everywhere in an uncontrollable manner.

The nozzles are very 'directional' which is what I wanted.

The cool shot is amazing.

The colour is FAB!

Wish I had got one sooner, and yes it has cut down on drying time. Glad I didn't get the super compact as I don't think that would've been up to the job of drying my thick super unmanageble, frizzy mop! hair

valiumredhead · 30/12/2011 21:17

And it's lighter than my Toni and guy one which is a bonous and the length of the cord is AMAZING!

Did I say I loved it? Grin

ggirl · 30/12/2011 21:22

yy I am loving mine more now , the precise nozzle direction and cool shot really helping with volumizing the roots

OP posts:
valiumredhead · 30/12/2011 21:25

YY and a quick blast of cool air after styling really helps settle down all the fly aways!

KaszoniE · 30/11/2014 12:20

I bought the cheapest one from here www.salonlines.co.uk/professional-hair-dryers/parlux-hair-dryers the Super Turbo 2600, but not really satisfied I have probably expected a bit more from Parlux....

Greengardenpixie · 30/11/2014 18:46

I know this is a zombie thread but...the ghd air is fantastic!!!! Lovely smooth silky hair with it. My hair has never looked better. Recommended by my hairdresser too. It has 3 different heat settings. One hot [ not burning] warm and cool. It also has 3 power settings. It has a cool shot and two nossels. I really love it.

LeoandBoosmum · 30/11/2014 19:21

I have to say, maybe it's just my hair, but Parlux ceramic, ionic or not, my Parlux still doesn't stop it going fuzzy!

yazzy85 · 30/11/2014 19:28

Would the ghd air be a better buy than this babyliss belissimo??

Greengardenpixie · 30/11/2014 19:55

Im not really sure. I think personally that these 'professional' hairdryers last and last. I had a T3 and it lasted me for years...it gave up the ghost.Babyliss is another of these high street brands. Have a look on you tube and see what each one does. The ghd air is really rather expensive but it should last for years.

yazzy85 · 30/11/2014 20:30

Thanks Green, that's a good idea, will youtube them
