Good quality knitwear?

I'm looking for some really nice knitwear and I'm a bit stuck. I like neutral colours and I fancy something a bit unstructured (not a waterfall cardigan but something similar, that I can do up, leave undone, dress up, down etc) I don't mind paying a bit more for something that will keep its shape, will last, won't go bobbly etc. I've checked all my normal high street haunts (Reiss, Gap, Whistles, Topshop etc) and have yet to be inspired by anything. Help? Thank you :)

Am watching with interest, I just want a big chunky jumper that I can wear a lot, but can't find a thing. Everything is so thin!

I agree! Everything I touch in shops just seems to feel really nasty, like it would go bobbly after one wash and give everybody I brush against a shock from the static. And to further complicate things, I'm only tall-ish (5ft 9") but apparently have a freakishly long torso and arms - nothing is long enough!

It's because wool prices worldwide have gone sky high, so any wool is being mixed with grotty fibres. I haven't bought anything good quality for years - you can get wool that doesn't bobble at all, but it needs to be properly spun and everyone's cutting costs.

Just remembered that I got a goodish wool sweater in Jigsaw recently - not too horribly bobbly, and I have the same body shape as you and the XL fits my arms. (I'm a 14 normally, not an XL!) They always have waterfall cardies, maybe worth a try.

People Tree do nice knuts. Agree RE horrid acrylic mix. Not warm, doesn't wear well, feels wrong and is a waste. I do not understand why anyone ever buys acrylic.

People tree also do nice knits! Their delivery service is good and if you Facebook friend them they often have discounts.
