Which toiletry/cosmetic ranges are good for sensitive skin?

I'm trying to choose some lovely toiletries as a Christmas present for a (pregnant) friend, and I know she has problems with some brands as her skin is sensitive. Which brands are hypoallergenic/safe for sensitive skin? I know she uses Simple and Boots No.7 but I'm not sure about others. Can anyone advise or recommend?

"Avene" is brilliant for very sensitive skin and can be found in large branches of Boots.

it's a bit 'spensive but Biotherm's sensitive range is The Best.

Could you ask her?
I have sensitive skin and some of the sensitive ranges don't suit me, but some "normal" ranges do.
I would think that you were being a lovely friend by asking, rather than just getting something random.

Thanks all. That's a good point starfish, I guess different ranges suit different people. She tends to stick to a few tried-and-trusted ranges that tend to be cheaper/high-street price. I'd love to get her something a bit more special. But you're right, it would be a shame to spend a fair amount on something that turns out to irritate her skin.

I've seen a Neal's Yard mum-to-be gift set that looked lovely. I know they're organic and mostly natural but I don't know how that translates in terms of hypoallergenicity (is that a word??).

I would recommend going for natural skincare brands such as Erbaviva which avoids all 'nasty' chemials and is made for preganant ladies/ new babies etc.

Hi. I use queen cosmetics products which are for sensitive skin and you can order what you like and they will put it in a gift box at no extra cost. The medicated cleansing lotion is fab and also I used it instead of wipes on my son's bottom! Skin cream also doubles up forme and him so good value too.! Www.queen-cosmetics.com. U can get free samples too.

Liz Earle is lovely and is good on sensitive skin. Pricey, but you get a lot for your money, or you can get nice starter kits which would give her a chance to try a range of LE stuff plus it's travel sizes which is always handy. Her stuff smells divine. Available from her website, (most) John Lewis and QVC.
