straight leg over the bump maternity jeans

Can you help me find some? I am 10 wks with dc2 and seriously expanding quite quickly and my old maternity jeans are quite frankly a bit crap. They are old, a bit too big and only have the small elastic waistband which keeps folding itself in half and is very annoying!
I usually wear Gap real straight but they don't do them in their maternity range and their skinny ones are too skinny, can anyone suggest anything similar? Kingston is my nearest shopping centre so have access to quite a lot of shops. Please help, dp has ds for the whole day tomorrow so I can go shopping on my own.

Not sure if you can get these on the high street but you might like them.

Polarn o Pyret have a store in Kingston, not sure if they stock maternity wear in store but there's a sale on online on their maternity range here I had one good pair of GAP maternity jeans but they were skinny ones. My best ones were from here

My best buy were the roll top yoga trousers from White Company, not maternity but stretchy and work brilliantly in the early stages and post-natally in particular.

Enjoy your shopping trip!

H&M have lovely maternity jeans in all different styles, I even bought a new pair 2 months after giving birth!

sleepatlast · 03/12/2011 04:04

I had h&m straight leg over bump and lived them but they both tore in groin and in lycra bit from pulling over bump so not impressed with quality

I always found top shop maternity jeans lovely

NinjaChipmunk · 03/12/2011 08:51

Lovely, thanks. I shall hit these stores first. Yay, a day shopping without a 4 year old in tow, I feel quite excited!

ive just got some topshop jeans - they are the most comfortable imo. I tried H&M and Gap too.

well I got some in H&M in the end. I would like to say its appalling how few shops actually sell maternity clothes in store though. In a town the size of kingston only about 4 shops have maternity clothes in store. I don't particularly like buying out of catalogues, I like trying things on first. At least now the jeans are bought finding tops is much easier and don't have to be maternity, just big!

Arf at DK76's blatant advertising Grin

Gap sell a large selection of maternity jeans at good prices.

runnerbabe6 · 09/12/2011 00:28

I was just as disappointed as Ninja with the lack of offerings in the stores. Wasted lots of time. I prefer to try my clothes on first before I purchase but am thinking of trying my luck online. any recommendations between Seraphine, Mamas&Papas, JustMaternityJeans, Next...or (gulp) eBAy?

runnerbabe6 · 09/12/2011 13:50

I ended up going with these: www.justmaternityjeans.co.uk/dark-blue-straight-leg-maternity-jeans

Fingers crossed!

I got tops from seraphine and Isabella Oliver top shop and next - found them all fine but always got jeans in store - need to try on.

Boden maternity jeans are expensive but so comfy and good quality - have been wearing mine to death. Look for ones with belt loops so you can cinch them in before you're massive enough to keep them up. I got a lovely pair from JoJoMamanBebe that fell apart after two hours because the top part wasn't strong enough for repeated hoiking up. They were returned...
