What is the best lipstick brand do you think?

I'm looking for something longwearing but not too drying...

Bobbi Brown Lip Colour, its not sold as longwear but nice full coverage, fairly matte and "grown up" looking but not as drying as the longwear products tend to be. fantastic range of colours too, hard to go wrong really. Also agree Mac lippy good but I find their colours a bit scary sometimes, better for the daring!

My favourite at the moment (and has been for the last 6 months) is Maybelline 24 hrs stay on. Grin

It's a little bit 'complicated' to wear but it's well worth it. I usually put dd (16 mths) into her bath, while she's playing in her bath, quickly run a lipliner and then apply the lipstick/lip stain on. You have to wait for the lip colour to dry first. The lipliner is to stop 'feather-ing' of the lip colour. Then I will wash dd's hair and do the usual bath stuff. Then dd will splash for another short while and I quickly run the 'lip balm' over the colour and voila!!! All done for REST OF THE DAY!!! Xmas Grin

Honestly, the lipstick doesn't run and I can kiss dd without leaving a lipstick mark on her, the colour stay on till 6pm and all you need to do during the day is to run the lip balm if you feel a bit dry (and there is no need for mirror as lip balm is clear colour). The lipstick stay on after numerous tea, lunches and biscuits. Brilliant!!!!

I have tried Max factor lipstain which doesn't work for me as I have dry lips.... the lip stain seems to darken on dry skin and my lips look 'patchy' and not very flattering. I use to love Bobbi brown as it's very moisturising, but it does 'transfer' and wear out. I just don't have the time to reapply lipstick, so Maybeline 24hrs stay on works really well for me Wink or may be I am lazy!

Oh and the maybelline lipbalm can be bought seperately so I just reapply lip balm once a day. Surprisingly, this seems to sooth my lips as well, so I don't need a separate lip balm yet. Smile

MAC's ProLongwear lipstick is good. It stays on for ages but isn't drying like a lot of the others and it's just like a normal lipstick so easier to apply. It's not completely transfer-proof though.
