Can you recommend an LBD and the best opaque tights?

I'm looking for a dress for dh's works do. He's the boss, so I have to take off my tracksuit look the part. Can you help?
I like the sort of dresses Claudia Winkelman wears - long sleeves, chiffon, embellished etc. with opaques and heels.
I have a pair of opaques, but they're a bit sheer in places so I'm looking for a quality pair.
Budget is not fabulous, around £50 would be amazing!
I'm 5'6, dark hair, pale skin, size 10-12.
Can anyone help?

Celia, I have this dress I wore it to the MN Xmas party. I do have a bit of a tum, but the dress is so well cut that it does not make it bulge at all. I paid £110 for it originally Angry

There is 25% of until Sunday - if you enter MONMD25W at checkout, it will deduct it for you.

That's a great dress Bella, how bloody annoying that it's now reduced though. I can't wear sleeveless dresses, even with a wrap/cardi I feel uncomfortable (v.odd I know!)
Thanks, tethers, that one doesn't grab me like the Peter Pan one, and £40 more. Bloody website showing things in stock!

BHS (try searching for "Cutie peter pan collar dress" if link doesn't work)

CeliaChristmasFete · 30/11/2011 17:17

Thanks, Bella. That's brilliant. I'll check out the link after dinner. Fab, ladies, you're great Smile

That coast one is far better than the oasis one IMO...

CeliaChristmasFete · 30/11/2011 17:26

When I click on the link for the Oasis Peter Pan one it says sizes 10 and 12 can be delivered from a store. Still interested?

CeliaChristmasFete · 30/11/2011 18:54

Thanks, Norks, I've ordered the Coast one now. It wasn't to be... Grin

Yay Celia Grin - how much was it in the end? About £59?

I cannot begin to tell you how many dresses I have ordered from various places over the last few weeks and then sent back... I have now bought a Whistles dress but am still dithering about it (even though i have the approval of how it looks from DH) and have ordered one from Coast and one from Boden, both of which should arrive tomorrow... My do is on Friday.

Am not sure why I don't just wear my Penny's Party Dress that I wore to last years MN xmas do.
