I have tired ELEVEN bras on this morning and not one of them fit correctly.

Can anyone advise me what I am doing wrong and where I can go?

I am fed up of buying bras that don't fit well and if they do when I buy them it doesn't stay the same for longer than about 3 wears.

I measure 33 under the breast and 40 across them.

I live in Kent and need advice as to where to go.

I tried on bras in M & S and Sainsbury's today as that was the only shops selling bras where I went. Oops, missed BHS.

A D cup or more? Oh GOD, if only! No my dear, the only bras I found in my size this afternoon had Pony Club logos on them.

Thanks anyway Grin

Sorry - I didn't mean to sound dismissive!

I may have to Visit Civilisation

If you're in Kent, there is a Rigby & Peller in Bluewater.

TheOriginalFAB · 25/11/2011 20:08

I have been in it once when looking for something specific but not for a while. I might go next week, or try JL.

John Lewis all the way for me. I've come away from HoF empty-handed more than once, after being ensconsed for half an hour with two of their experts, who I left scratching their heads at my freakdom.

Bravissimo have sold me bras that cut into my shoulders by lunchtime (which they all do by evening, as I'm a 30G, but give me a few hours' comfort, please!)

Rigby and Peller sent me away in something that nearly brought me down with mastitis when I was bf DS1.

But John Lewis, as I discovered about 4 years ago and have never look back, never fail me, and their fitters are kind, polite and knowledegeable.

M&S, Debenhams, Sainsbos et al - don't even go there unless you have the sort of teenage boobs that don't need a bra anyway.

TheOriginalFAB · 25/11/2011 20:42

I have been to JL once and when I disagreed with the size given the girl walked off Shock. It wasn't a great experience but I am willing to accept it was all my fault and will go back. I can't justify R&P prices at the moment and expect JL to be more affordable.

don't know where in kent u are but brill underwear shop in Westerham Entre Nous plus they do a loyalty card,,,,,

WhatsWrongWithYou · 26/11/2011 00:12

I wouldn't worry about the size they say you are as it's more about the fit than the size anyway. I took my 14yo DD there last weekend - she'd been wearing a 32A and came out with several 30Ds.

We were both Shock when the woman said that was her size, as DD hardly has a handful yet, but the woman got her to try a wired C cup and showed us how the wire was sitting (wrongly) in front of the breast tissue, whereas with the D cups the seam underneath (on her soft bra) was in the right place.

Wait and see how the bras fit, and try a t-shirt on over them to see how they'll look under clothes.

TheOriginalFAB · 26/11/2011 07:10

I agree about the size. I didn't agree as i had been fitted wrong so may times at M&S that I couldn't face more wasted money, Now I just want a bra that fits and is comfortable.

Ooopsadaisy - would love to know the factory shop in the east mids you went to......

lettucesoup · 26/11/2011 08:12

don't bother with m+s you'd have more luck guessing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AgathaCrusty · 26/11/2011 08:33

I've just read the bra thread that Ariesgirl linked to. What a revelation!! Other women with bra wires digging in at the sides - I thought it was just me.

TheOriginalFAB · 26/11/2011 09:05

The bra I am wearing now is the one that fits the most correctly. It is a 36G and from Asda.

If wires dig in at the side towards the end of the day is that still a sign it is not right?
