This one and my mum was a bit shocked. I'm size 14, 5ft 8" and hour glass, bit of a tum, but my legs are good/slim. I thought it'd be ok seen as I'm only showing legs not tits? Also I don't look my age get told mid 30s? Will tights be ok? Am thinking of wearing shoe/boots? It looks a lot better on tbh. Oh and I paid £25 today instore when it says £20 online, wish I'd known as sometimes they give you online price?

What age are you? I assume a great deal younger - as you run your clothes purchases past your Mum?

Get0rf · 23/11/2011 22:19

Isn't it the duty of mothers to curl their lips at their daughter's fashions?

I would ignore her - I am sure it looks very nice.

CuriousCrissyRock4QueenMama · 23/11/2011 22:20

No I don't run them past her I just told her the length of it and she was shocked Grin You should read thread titles Hmm

She's usually with it just think she thinks women who wear short dresses/skirts are mutton? She has a much younger OH and feels her age sometimes may just be a bit of Envy

Oh ha haaa! yes, I should seriously read the thread titles. Don't blame me, blame the cheese on toast I was scarfing concentrating on!

Get0rf · 23/11/2011 22:25

I would wear it with dark tights and high heeled black shoes (I don't really think boots).

Thanks GetOrf you're right.

That's ok bibbity. Was just watching Kylie today and she's my age, albeit half the size Grin

It's fine. Kind of studenty. I think that style is meant to be worn with leggings or opaque tights - that's what all the students are wearing anyway. Might look a bit nightie-ish with sheer tights. Far too trendy for me though. I only ever wear 1950s style pencil skirts and pencil or A-line mini skirts - and I'm only 34!

CuriousCrissyRock4QueenMama · 24/11/2011 14:28

Yes was thinking opaque tights. I've been sorting through clothes and just found 3 fab dresses so may wear one of those after all?
