I forked out for gel nails this week -just a pale pink painted on my natural nails (no false tips etc)but......
it has cracked causing little lines over every nails.
I only has them done on wednesday and am a bit p*ed as they are pricey!
Does this happen a lot ? Am thinking of complaining!

what brand was it?
no it should not happen!

I don't know that much about the science behind the gel nails process but I would be guessing that if it involves application of multiple layers, one of the layers in the middle didn't dry/set properly before another one was applied so it 'pulled' on the layer above it as it dried causing the cracking?

No expert though. I would go back and ask for them to be re-done.

Yes, go back, mine last weeks, it's only the new nail growing at the nail bed that means they need redoing
