Boots that don't collapse! help!

Sorry, I know Boots have been done to death, but I really need help ladies!!

I bought a pair of dark grey, Moda in Pelle biker-style ankle boots in early september and I LOVED them. They weren't cheapo. However, I do walk a bit everyday, not 10 miles, but a 10 min school run, twice a day, and out and about, and the soles and heels started to wear away really quickly. I am actually shocked at the really shoddy material the soles and heels are made of and disappointed in them and MIP. Well the heel on one actually fell off today, so said boots are now consigned to the bin. Wont buy from them ever again..

So now I need new boots that aren't going to fall apart over the winter. Any recommendations? They need to be flat, waterproof, comfy and stylish too, and under about £70 max. Knee boots are no good on these calves, Im wearing mostly leggings and jeans. Oh and I refuse to buy online this time!! So high street if possible!!

Please help me!

Like these or these, from Rieker, really good quality brand.
Would advise going to an independant local shoe shop to get better quality than high street regulars.
