dc started a new school this year, and this christmas is the first time I will meet the parents in dd's class. Christmas night is drinks and a buffet in a nice bar in town.
But I can't do going out clothes!!! We ( dh and I) rarely go out due to lack of babysitting. I can do weddings (am an expert!) and I can do fancy events (similar to weddings) and I can do decent everyday stuff!
I am a sahm so don't have to look smart for work so am afraid of anything too dressy, am a size 12, about 5'8, heavier around the middle. And I will almost certainly need shoes too - have wedding things (LK Bennett, Russell and Bromley etc) and everyday (Uggs, converse, fly) but nothing going out like!
Please help - am afraid of being the dowdy one in the corner or, even worse, looking overdressed (gosh she doesn't get out much!) Thanks!
