help me.

im going out for a friends 'hen night' this friday...
it's lunch-at her mum's house- then drinks,then dinner out,then more drinks...

i haven't been out in the evening for 3 years,
ive just lost 3 stone of baby weight, and all my clothes are baggy breastfeeding tops and yoghurt/paint stained skinny jeans.

Im a size 10, 26 years old (if that matters?!) and i used to be quite fashionable...

That link doesn't work I'm afraid...

FriggsFlyingFalconFeathers · 16/11/2011 22:13

Love that.

FriggsFlyingFalconFeathers · 17/11/2011 15:14

i have also just bought the black floral one you linked to from h&m....
and a navy one from a little shop in town,it's quite tight around the waist, plunging neckline,BIG pockets at the sides for me to shove my hands into....

not sure what i'll end up wearing but thankyou SO much for pushing me in the right direction Grin

FriggsFlyingFalconFeathers · 17/11/2011 15:38

just realized the navy one i bought in town today looks quite a lot like the orange H&M one, same shape...but it's a jersey material....

anyhooo i was wondering, what colour tights do you/should i wear with a dark navy dress?!

OP posts:
tethersend · 17/11/2011 15:44

Glad you got some things Smile

Plum tights can look great, or brown, or navy.

Depends which shoes...

FriggsFlyingFalconFeathers · 17/11/2011 15:51

well, ummm, seeing as im no good at this...

what shoes would you recommend, for a dark navy version of the orange H&M dress?!

OP posts:

Weeelll, once again what I'd wear may not be to your taste, but I tend to wear navy dresses with plum tights and cream shoes, although I would wear heels.

If flats I'd probably go with navy or cream tights and tan shoes.

FriggsFlyingFalconFeathers · 17/11/2011 16:24

id love to be able to wear heels, but i have shoddy ankles, and im clumsy at the best of times...

do you think the brogue ankle boots would work?
or something simpler? a tan ballet pump?

OP posts:
tethersend · 17/11/2011 16:25

Perhaps something simpler. Tan ballet pumps sound good.

FriggsFlyingFalconFeathers · 17/11/2011 16:27

thankyou!

ask a stylish friend if you can borrow something nice?
