How do I go about sorting out BF bras?

Hi, i don't know why i don't know how to go about this as its my 3rd dc but ended up wasting a huge amount of money on wrong sizes last time. I am 38 weeks pregnant. I am not wearing maternity bras as i hate the shape and have been fine in the others until this week. I have bought a post baby wardrobe and would like some good bras to go underneath ie none of that mothercare triangular boob crap.

My questions are when should i get them? after milk comes in?
What do i do in the meantime?
Where is best to go have had experience of M&S and Mothercare. There is only really the dept stores near me.

I'm wearing the Bravado seamless 'silk' ones (they are silky but not silk.)
They are very flexi & go up & down with my boobs. Very comfy too. And I've got quite big boobs and find the support OK.

I ordered them online

I had Emma Jane next generation bras and they were good for me. £10 each and you just buy band size as the cup is multifit!

The bravado ones are interesting but i'm worried about shape my boobs are less than pert and rather large dd cup do you reckon they are supportive enough?

Moody the emma jane ones don't suit me they do that triangular boob thing mainly because of the size.

This is the shape i would usually prefer www.figleaves.com/uk/product.asp?product=HOTMilk-Her-Tangled-Web-Tantalized-Bra&product_id=HTM-SW-001-HER&size=&colour=Blackhere i have no idea about when to order or how to fit.

I wore elle macphearson ones last time which weren't bad but ended up getting recurrent mastitis with which hindsight was caused by poor fitting bra that i had kept from 1st baby.

Hijacking thread slightly

How many sizes do you go up when pregnant? I have no children yet, but I always wonder what the hell I will do as I'm a J cup

Boob shape sounds very familiar :) I'm an E of F I guess (will confirm once I'm back in 'normal' bras.
I'm very happy with the support and shape and above all the comfort of the Bravados - but I wouldn't jog in them. Best is they work whatever size my boobs are - especially good for those early weeks. I wore them from about 37 week on.

I couldn't wear the fig leaf one as I would find it itchy. My boob area skin gets hyper sensitive when PG/BF

Makkapakkaakkawakka · 14/11/2011 23:06

I had the silky bravado ones which were great as they aren't specific sizes but was BF throughout the summer and love strappy vest tops but not with horrid chunky high cut bf bras so after about 3 months moved into normal non wired tshirt bras and just pulled it under my boob to feed.
