I can't justify getting my eyebrows waxed/threaded anymore but am sick of the pain Blush. I had heard that teething gel helped with the pain but I am not convinced.

Yep, rub a bit of Bongela into the area beforehand. Or if that's not enough you could try getting some Emla cream (although check if that's safe to use near your eyes). That's what they use to numb the area for tattooing people with a low pain threshold.

Thank you.

A painkiller you know you are ok with, abou half an hour before the evil deed is due to be performed. If you are doing it yourself, rather than a salon, a hot facecloth over the area will help open the pores making the hair slide out easier,

Thank you. The hot facecloth idea sounds brilliant.

I thought EMLA cream was prescription only? Or maybe that's stronger than 5%.

LidoCream is a bit expensive but it really works. It's not long lasting either, about an hour.

They seem to sell EMLA on Amazon. Like you say, maybe you just need a prescription for the over 5% strength.

Teething gel? really?? must try it.

I always take pain killers before hand. Oh & avoid anything painful just before your period.
