do these sorts of boots at next have a proper sole?

I don't want those ones with a piece of foam for a sole!

these have proper soles if you want somethng winter-worthy

SlothAttack · 12/11/2011 17:18

I don't think Ugg styles are supportive enough for young feet to walk properly and sole is too flat

SlothAttack · 12/11/2011 17:23

I was just asking if the sole was a proper one, not foam.

If anyone knows the answer to my question please let me know.

What about these?

Cherrypie32 · 12/11/2011 17:47

M&S walkmates have cheaper than Clarks girls boots online, bit failing that I often get my DS feet measured at Clarks then buy 2nd hand on eBay. You often get hardly worn or new at a bargain price.

tethersend · 12/11/2011 17:49

Grin at 'bean tins'

OP, I hate the boots. They are awful, and Next children's shoes are very poor quality IME, so I would not get your hopes up for proper soles. In fact, I think most boots in that style have rubbish soles. You may as well just get cheapies like these.

TeWihara · 12/11/2011 17:55

Regardless of sole, I doubt they'll be waterproof and no one wants damp feet.

Those JoJo ones were good... 7 week wait is a bit daft though!!

SlothAttack · 12/11/2011 18:23

I really like some of the m&s ones!

thanks cherrypie x

Still don't like them, but they are much better quality than the next ones.

MitziKinsky · 12/11/2011 18:43

Lush!

These too!

mercibucket · 12/11/2011 18:44

Aldi have some good ones for a tenner

I think the Next ones would be fab for slippers but not for out doors. I like the M&S boots you say you are now buying, but not for main winter boots, i doubt they would last long.

herecomesthsun · 12/11/2011 19:32

Chatterbox Helena look quite good (to me), almost at the bottom, £16

Voidka · 12/11/2011 19:34

My Friends little girl has the top ones and bottoms are spongy, she has already started going over onto the sides.

Not worth the money IMO.

ballstoit · 12/11/2011 19:35

Sainsburys have a really good selection at the moment.

Are you planning to take DD to M&S or order online? I wanted some from there for DD2 but they had ridiculously narrow ankles...only went about half way round her leg (and she's got pretty skinny legs). A few others I know have found the same with M&S.

Cherrypie32 · 12/11/2011 20:03

My DD has top ones Mitzi linked to from M&S and they ate truly 'lush' plus she has quite chubby legs and ankles and they fit great (Sainsburys were very slim fitting). Not squidgy soles at all. Clearly OP wants an Ugg style boot for her DD and therefore I'm sure realises their limitations. We've all got wellies for the wet & snow Wink

dairymoo · 12/11/2011 21:16

My DTs have the M&S ones that Mitzi linked to as well, they are lovely boots and seem really well made. Bargain price too for leather.

SlothAttack · 12/11/2011 23:38

shes got red leather agatha ruiz de la prada boots and welly bobs, they won't be her only shoes, shes als got about another 3 pairs of converse type trainers.

I would only put these soft ones on if we were about the house or if she was going to be mostly in her buggy or in the car, i wouldn't tke her hiking in the snow in them.
