I HATE my hair, I NEED a style! *tantrum*

It's just so fecking 'blah' right now. It is just about past my shoulders, I have a horrible fringe disaster that is growing out at a very slow rate, it is fine, it is fragile, it's all one plain boring box dye shade of dark brown.

What can I do with it? I had an inverted bob cut in for last christmas, but I got so fed up with having to wash and style it every single morning, and then because it is so fine, the style had fallen out by lunch time. I also hated not being able to tie it back properly, so cutting it that short again isn't an option.

I don't want to do a drastic colour change, I might just take it back to the dark plum type colour I used to have to warm it up a bit. But as for the style - I am stumped. I can't do anything with it right now, nothing holds. I am also going to be filming an advert at the end of the month and I can not look shit for that!

I am ' ' that close to digging out DH's shavers and buying a wig. Tantrum over Grin

I'm in the same situation.

I have slightly different hair - thick-ish, dead straight, and in that dark plum colour you speak of (bored of that, to be honest, but that's not the main issue).
I also had an inverted bob, which I loved it for about a year but am now also totally hacked off with blow-drying it every morning and trying to get the back to look half decent

I am torn between going super short (but worried I might look mannish, as I am very tall) or growing it past shoulders and doing 'something' with it But what? I have trawled the internet looking at styles but nothing jumps out.

Bah! Will watch with interest.

Glad I'm not alone!

My hair used to be gorgeous when I was young, so thick and healthy. Then I developed this hair snapping habit when I was stressed at college which absolutely ruined it, and even though I have beat the habit now my hair has never been the same since.

I don't have strong enough features to pull off super short, plus I imagine that'd take just as much styling as the inverted bob we speak of! And I swear my hair has been this length now since february, it just won't grow!

Hmph!

I too hate my hair- it all snapped off after a hairdresser used to much bleach and I am now left with a mullet helmet thing. Going on Sunday to get my hair cut again after months of growing out a crop and Im extremely nervous! ARGHHHHHH!!!!

I had short hair. Trying to grow it so I can tie it back.....but, am now going through the nasty bob bit and I'm sooooo tempted to just have it short again.

Also, I've fine but thick, dead straight hair so, have had to get out my hairdryer again to faff with it. When it was shorter I just washed and left it.

Some days it looks ok but mostly I look like Billy Boswell, on a bad day.

feel your pain.

had a short bob last xmas, had it cut into it again in Feb, and have been growing it ever since.

It's dyed mid brown, tho becuase the roots (natural bits) are mainly grey with very dark parts, it's lightened up over the summer (abroad).

It's thin, fine and fair enough there's alotof it but i don't know what to do with it.

The layers are growing out but it's helmet like. OP is yours one length or layered?

I desp need a trim, but am scared of them cutting too much off!!
