GHD straighteners - worth the extra cost?

Teenage DD has expressed an interest in a pair of GHD's for Christmas.

If I were to invest they would be for both DD's and for me - a sort of 'family gift'

Are they really that good? Or am I paying for a 'name'?

Yes, GHDs always. Just do a search for the million other threads on here asking the same question and coming to the same conclusion! I have had two pairs in ten years so good value for money I reckon.
