good products to hide dark bags under eyes??

i need some advice! I have noticed really dark bags under my eyes and wondering if any of you ladies have good product recommendations?

A bit of background: I am white with a normal skin type (oily t zone) and My usual fave brands are MAC and benefit. I do wear make up most days but not a lot unless i'm without the kids for the day!

Touche eclat used to be all i heard people rave about but then lots of people seemed to say it dried their skin out....

What do you mumsnetters think?

Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer. The one with a little sponge on. I have "Light". Just a tiny dab works. Ask the assistant to show you best application.

Doesn't wriggle into fine lines to accentuate tiredness like others, IMO.

Try Aldi's concealer. I find it really good and if it doesn't work for you, you've wasted a couple of quid. In the past I've used benefit and touche eclat and find Aldi's just as effective.

The best one I've found that works for me is Benefit Boi-ing. It is literally industrial strength concealer and works to cover eye bags and also covers my horribly red cheeks.

Touche Veloutee by Terry (got mine at Space NK) is brilliant brilliant brilliant. I was stuck in a rut using Touche Eclat for years, wondering why it did nothing for me (it's a highlighter), and saw TV recommended on here. It's fab - I have dark circles no more

Touche Veloute is better than Touche Eclat for under eyes, IMO. Worth the £. Make sure you go down far enough though - to adjacent to your nostril. It's that 'triangle' that works best to conceal the shadow.

Peepo from LilyLolo is fantastic and a third of the price of TV. It's a mineral concealer - so is a powder that warms to a cream when applied to your skin (melts in with skin heat). Lasts all day. I am a mineral makeup convert.

Also some useful tips on where to apply it etc ;)

Another cheapy one that I think's worth a try - Match Perfection by Rimmel. You have to layer it up a bit but I find it nearly as good as the (far more expensive) Bobbi Brown one I used to buy.

The Clinique version of Touche Eclat is good - less pinky than Touche and can be worn without make-up.

But I'm fully converted to Bare Escentuals mineral make-up. They do a concealer, but I usually use the normal foundation powder. The key think is the fabulous concealer brush so you can really paint out the dark circles but with a very natural finish.

I love benefit erase paste - is that the same as bo-ing?! Never seen that one - will have to investigate!

Most lasting (but also quite dry so needs a good eye cream) Is MAybelline 24 hour concealer

I have THE darkest purple shadows under my eyes. I'm not even kidding. And i've tried touche eclait (not good unless used to bring a sunken socket 'forward', Benefit Boi-ing- (too greasy moves around)

None has the pigmentation or staying power of Maybelline. But it is a little dry, as I said

Laura Mercier secret concealer is amazing. It blends beautifully and really covers the dark circles. They're quite good at giving you samples too so you might be able to try some before you buy.

Touche eclat I like and MAC studio fix concealer which is bomb proof but an even better one which might work for you Bare Minerals Well Rested. It is a powder so fine it doesn't seem to go into any fine lines. Its formulation means it will not cause your eye make up to transfer which happens for me with most. You put it on with a small eye makeup type brush, its both a concealer and brightener very easy I really don't think you would be disappointed. If you buy from QVC you can return it if it doesn't suit for full refund.

I think the clinique one is good, and am quite impressed by the garnier caffeine roll on one, which doesn't need moisturiser under it. I only really wear foundation on my t-zone, and these both work well without it.

another vote for laura mercier. if you find it dry you can mix in a bit of moisturizer on the brush. great stuff.

I've just bought a really cheap NYC concealer from Lloyd's the chemist. It's a crappy-looking one in a stick but rivals all the expensive ones I've used for effectiveness. I'm impressed by NYC so far - everything's about £3 and good!
I put the concealer on with a fingertip makeup sponge, over moisturiser or primer.

I did like the Benefit one in a tiny pot, though it was quite thick and dry so hard to get right. I second Aldi's touche éclat; it's superb, though I wouldn't use it on dark circles because of the shimmer.
