Yea it is owned by Estée Lauder. Along with most others on the cosmetics floors! Lauder own so much. I don't think that's always a good thing either

animula · 10/11/2011 22:57

Goodness - that's quite a price-hike for her new products!

Udderly · 11/11/2011 12:09

The MIL used to wear Opium and changed to Thierry Mugler's Angel. I can't abide the smell of it, but she likes it and I associate the smell with her now.

takeonboard · 11/11/2011 12:10

yes, worth every penny

FunnysInTheGarden · 11/11/2011 13:40

I have Lime Basil and Manderin on today and was just thinking how lovely it still smelt and how well it has lasted. I have to say though that only a very few of her perfumes smell nice on me and I have tried loads out. Pomegranite Noir and Red Roses both smell awful. It's very personal I think

kittya · 11/11/2011 19:08

Is it the same price wherever you buy it from. Im not sure if its worth it.

Im afraid I cant buy my mum Angel, surely its too young plus, I cant stand it

Piffle · 11/11/2011 19:32

I love it and it lasts, smells beyond divine, I always get complimented...
Duty free works out better but that involves buying a flight lol

SauvignonBlanche · 11/11/2011 19:35

I love the Pomegranate Noir.

I'm firmly in the room-fresheners and emperor's new clothes camp.

Except not even very new . Has been around for ages - many years since it was a cult brand in any way -and so not even a novelty. (Not that I want my perfume to be a novelty).

moragbellingham · 11/11/2011 20:01

I love (and wear) some, and hate others. If CK or EA brought out 24 scents then I think most people would feel the same.

I think perfume is a really personal thing and what smells good to one person is vile to another.

VivaLeBeaver · 11/11/2011 20:39

I really like the fig and cassis one. Smells like cat piss when you first spray it on but turns into a lovely scent.

Emo76 · 12/11/2011 15:20

Completely personal taste ! I love grapefruit and red roses but can't stand pomegranate noir. I do think the range is expensive though for what it is. Still chuffed to get it as a gift though!

ParsleyTheLioness · 13/11/2011 08:12

Amazed at the range of views on here. I love the lime and basil one, and it lasts ages on me...much better than lots of other stuff. I wonder if skin type makes a difference to how long it lasts, as people are saying either it lasts ages, or doesn't last?
I find it really uplifting, and yes, one of the few perfumes people comment on.

Where are you? If you can get to London easily then Artisan Parfumeur are worth a look. I love Jo Malone, although I do find the purchasing experience fairly painful as in the time it takes me to get through a bottle the price has invariably gone up, but one spray goes a long way. Artisan Parfumeur perfumes are about the same price as Jo Malone, but you might find a scent more like what you are looking for there, and the people in the shop are friendly.

PastGrace · 13/11/2011 17:25

Sorry, that came across wrongly - the Jo Malone people are friendly too, but the AP people I thought would be a bit French and snooty but not at all (even in Paris, where I discovered it), and the girl was really good at talking me through the range, so I found her help more accessible than at most JM concessions/shops
