Winter Baby Pramsuit or something lighter?

My second baby is due within a month's time and I still could not find the "ideal" pramsuit. My first one was a spring baby so a blanket had solved all of the problems. The pramsuits sold are mostly of very thick material and think that you would need to remove it once you are indoors, but you wouldn't want to disturb a sleeping newborn either. I am thinking of buying a slightly lighter pramsuit (if I can find any!) and using a blanket in addition when necessary. We'll be travelling by car to almost everywhere, and it will be mostly indoors where we are going to. (library, shopping centres etc) Can anyone with a winter baby advise on their experience and any of the products they were happy with?
Thanks x

i got one from h&m that is fleece, its like a snowsuit but as its fleece its much thiner and put my little ones in it when they were in the sling etc.

gap sell some as well, tho they are probably more expensive than h&m and i think jojo mamam bebe do the fleece ones, again more expensive! hth :)

also you can get poncho type things or a suit that you put them in that doesnt have legs, so you can just unzip it when indoors so they dont get too hot :)

i had a winter baby and don't think i used a pramsuit at all or much. i had a car seat blanket that the straps went through (so it lined the car seat) then wrapped round the baby. if it was really cold i put an extra thin blanket over the top. Morrck
if he wasn't in the car seat he was in the carrycot for the buggy so all zipped up and insulated in there.

Had jojo fleece all in ones and Morrck-type blankets for my 4 late autumn or winter babies. Both great, my babies all threw up a lot so useful to have two things.
