Semi Permanent Colour and Colour B4

Used colour B4 a few evenings ago, and it was like halloween a few days late, with my hair turning bright orange! Argh

I've put on a semi but am now concerned what happens after the 24 washes its meant to last for, does it wash out completely and will I be left with an orange crop or does it leave some of the colour in my hair and just fade?

Also i've heard that if you put a semi on top of a semi, it becomes permanent is there any truth in that?

oh boy - am about to use B4 myself now ... and worry about the orange - what had you done to your hair before? Mine is a mix of white natural and old bleach so god knows what will happen to my hair!

I think you're only meant to put a wash in/wash out thing on within a week of putting on CB4. Otherwise (from what I've gleaned from lurking n these threads) your hair will reoxidise (or the colour will?) and you'll end up as dark as you were before CB4 - something like that

Semi on top of semi doesn't = permanent but it does reactivate the old dye so you hair will get darker/you will get colour build-up. Best just to stick with dying the roots if you can and are not trying to drastically change the colour

zzmum my hair was highlighted but as i'm on maternity and trying to save cash, I've been using a semi and it looked really good, so decided that I would use the permanent of that colour. Cut a long story short the colour I chose was not the colour on the box, light brown, came out with loads of red! So I colour B4d and everything turned out bright orange, even the hair that hadn't been highlighted before! Really disappointed with the results (obviously!)

Hmmm said I've clearly made a mistake then going for a 24 wash semi! Oops! I've had two washes since, and the semi colour is looking good, but I do worry what will happen after the 24 washes, if my hair will return to its bright orange fright or if i'll be left with a faded version of the semi? I'm too scared to wait and see
