Going to a 'do' at the weekend and need accessories advice!
Main colours in my ensemble are purple and turqoise. I have a purple and turqoise scarf but am worried I will be too 'matchy matchy' - thoughts and suggestions anyone? Should I wear a lovely gold/red one or an orangey/teal scarf instead?

we need more info about your ensemble, otherwise it is v. hard to visualise!

any pics of your outfit?
purple and turqouise are quite 'bold' colours so I wouldnt be adding a different bright colour, or you may look like the 'mad aunt' who rifled through the dressing up box. Grin

Oooh good point - as its already quite an 'eclectic' outfit. OK - its a long very full maxi skirt in purple, with a teal colour blouse, navy v-neck sleeveless top over blouse (sounds odd looks good together though). Haven't decided on shoes - but probably some sort of boot.

The many colours in your outfit sound quite busy already. Can you do without a scarf?

mymuchness · 04/11/2011 07:43

Oooh-(scarves have become a comfort blanket!)-i will be wearing a longish black coat over this - so could wear iot over the top of that and then take it off with the coat?)

depends how close the turquoise and teal are, colour-wise - if the teal is a darker version of the purple, then the scarf could pull the whole thing together - if they are different, then yes it might be just a tad too eclectic.

sorry darker version of the turquoise, obv
