eye bags

Does anyone know a good (non surgical) remedy for eye bags? I've tried a few creams and cucumber slices/teabags but nothing works. I also get plenty of sleep.

When I got back from holiday recently I was a bit Sad about the bags under my eyes in loads of the pics - probably more technically known as tear troughs? Other than them I have pretty much no wrinkles, which makes it even more annoying really. Am late 30's btw.

I will be eternally grateful for recommendations of something that actually works!

PS have considered trying pile cream but was frightened of doing my eyes permanent damage!

I've noticed my eye bags too in the last few years, sorry I don't have any magic tips for making them disappear. However, I have noticed that alcohol and eating too much sugar makes them much puffier.

There was a lot
Of support for aldi under eye rollers and drinking lots if water and getting sleep
I have the garnier eye roller - fund it good as there s a colour or concealer in it

I naturally have awful eyebags and darkness, and I swear by the eye exercises in Carole Malone's book 'facercise'. It'll take a few days to learn thm, but then you just do them in the ad break when you're watching telly or whatever. They really do work and I notice the difference if I neglect to do them for more than a few days. The whole routine is excellent, but if it's only your eyes that bother you, just do the eye exercises. They've done more for my face than any product, and I've tried a hell of a lot of products. Short term, say for a night out, I find the chilled teabags make the most difference. Better than cucumber cos of the tightening effect of the tannins.

Agree with madmomma that you need to be doing facial exercises or massage as no cream in the world is going to get rid of bags. Try a daily facial massage concentrating on the eye area. Perhaps look for a book on it or visit a good beauty therapist for a facial and ask for advice on how you can massage at home Smile

there was a lot of chatter on here several months ago about tear troughs and the fact that no creams will shift them. I have them quite badly and went along to a local cosmetic place to find out about having them filled. Unfortunatly it's a very specific (and potentially dangerous) proceedure that very few places do BUT the woman I saw said that sometimes eye bags can be caused (or made worse) by water retention so I got some water retention tablets and tried taking those for a while which I found did help. I'm now off to look for the book mentioned ;-)

All very interesting - but the fact that the book is by Carole Malone puts me off Confused. She was on This Morning the other day and she didn't look good - at the time I thought she looked a bit over-botoxed around the mouth and otherwise quite crinkled. Meow Grin

You can get rid of some of it with fillers- they fill the tear troughs so that the whole area kind of evens out.

otherwise no cream will work- Sad

yeah sorry carole maggio (duh)
