Anything filled with down will be light and warm, north face or gap i've seen recently. I bought my dd a nuptse body warmer from north face and its lovely and warm.

Cheers. Can you wear those down filled coats in the snow? Worried about them getting wet. I really don't know anything about outdoor gear.
Or would i want something waterproof too?

you can't wear down in pouring rain, or you can but it won't keep you warm because water interferes with the loft in the feathers and their ability to trap air (which is how the coat insulates). Usually down coats have a water repellent coating, how effective this is in keeping you dry depends on the fabric outside, varies from coat to coat. If your coat gets wet, drying it in low heat with a couple of tennis balls in the tumble dryer will restore loft, but really you should avoid getting down wet as if you have to hammer it in the dryer a lot, eventually it'll lose its insulating properties. If you want something that is not so precious, look at coats with synthetic filling like PrimaLoft.
