False eyelashes

I've never worn them before. I went into Boots today to get some and got so confused at the array of spider like things, that I left again! What do I need? There were loads; some really thick that'd look drag queenish I'm sure, ones with glue, self adhesive, reusables, singles! What would be easiest for a novice like me?

Get the Boots own brand £4 natural ones. They are fine but make a difference to your lashes. Easy to apply too, and reusable

I like Eylure, they are glue ones, but they go on well and last the night.

start with the natural omes and see how you get on. I tend to go for the fuller ones for a night out, but it depends on your eyes/make up/natural lashes. The natural ones look nice, even for during the day... Although they do become a bit addictive.

Oh and you have to put them on the right eye, otherwise they look odd. Grin

You can trim the length a little if you wish. I do eye make-up first then put them on, saves fiddling about once they are done (although try and do it before 4 a glass of wine)

It's just trial and error, but if you start off with the natural ones you won't go wrong.

I want semi permanent eyelash extensions, but I've heard they are ££££

I have no experience with them myself but an optician friend hates them - especially the posh extension ones. Apparently, they wreak all kinds of havoc on the eye area, particularly the tear ducts.

They are Very Bad.

Any- I had the semi permanent ones done at the beginning of the year. They looked fab to start off with but they were a right ball ache tbh.

It feels like you are wearing 300000 coats of the thickest mascara ever, which irritated me. It's really hard to take eye make up off without taking sone of the lashes off too, and you are supposed to sleep on your back so they don't catch on your pillow and fall out.

After a couple of weeks loads had fallen out so they looked quite odd, so you het them infilled, but ob they only fix the ones that have fallen out, so the older ones keep falling out over the next were IYKWIM?

I appear to have written an essay Blush

I guess its like hair and nail extensions.. If you have the time/money to look after them and be at the salon every week them they can be great.

Weather looking good for Paris btw Grin

I use the Kimberly ones by Girls Aloud - £5

Very easy to apply.

I put all my eye make up, curl my lashes, put mascara on and the apply the false ones. I then put on another coat of mascara.

After a night out, I take them off, wash them in some warm soapy water and leave out to dry. They are as good as new for the next time.

I never thought to re-use Blush

(((((counts up the cost of eye lashes wasted )))))))))
