I'm a recent convert. Used to use pencil to sharpen them up. Now a shape and tint at salon really adds to face framing qualities

What colour is your hair Eyelasher? My hair and eyebrows are dark but my eyebrows are a bit sparce so I do add some pencil. I was thinking about dying them but my friend had it done who is also dark and said that it was a waste of time as the beautician just dyed her already dark eyebrows dark and so there was no difference at all. I guess it works better on lighter eyebrows?

blobtobetter · 29/10/2011 08:37

I was thinking of getting HD Brows from a local salon but the dying bit scares me. I have pale skin and dark hair so I don't want to look like my eyebrows are drawn on with marker pen!

learningtofly · 29/10/2011 08:59

Oh me too! Very very fair eyebrows here and dyed/ drawn them on for years.

I actually use Dyelash at home now and do it myself as mine need doing once a month - works a treat and much cheaper :)

ggirl · 29/10/2011 09:22

it is fabulous
unfortunately I am bloody allergic to the dye

used to get eyelashes dyed as well which was brilliant

Eyelasher · 29/10/2011 09:52

Am swarthy. And not very hirsute.

I have been dyeing my mum's for a while with a home kit from Boots - her are a bit sparse and it makes a huge difference.

PerryCombover · 29/10/2011 11:12

I have to do this as otherwise I look even more like Phil Mitchell
I get it done every month after my threading and it's the best.thing.ever

cyb · 29/10/2011 11:41

I do it at home. . I looked like Groucho Marks after a salon dye

Eyelasher · 29/10/2011 12:19

Cheeky Bugger

noddyholder · 29/10/2011 13:55

How do you diy without making a mess of your face

cyb · 29/10/2011 13:56

Easy. Use an old mascara wand and deft of hand

cyb · 29/10/2011 13:56

I HAVE dyed small pats of the loo seat though, as thast where I mix the potion

noddyholder · 29/10/2011 13:57

Ah ok. I use light brown mascara as had groucho style disaster in the 80s

bluegnueboo · 29/10/2011 13:58

Does this look good on those of us that are pale? I'm a fetching white/blue complexion and kinda considering dying brows when I do my lashes next.

Not a fan of the drag queen/ groucho look.

cyb · 29/10/2011 14:00

I'm v pale too. Just watch out you dont touch to much of your skin under the hairs. if THAT gets dyed, you might as well light your cigar then and there

And dont for the love of God use black dye

noddyholder · 29/10/2011 14:01

I do like a heavy brow though youthful somehow as I was a bit over tweezy over the years and made a mess of them

Eyelasher · 29/10/2011 14:02

Mine looks too dark for about a day. Sheesh it's £6.

OP posts:
cyb · 29/10/2011 14:04

Sheesh yourself. Mine need doing often. Am sparsh. And some of us work every day

bluegnueboo · 29/10/2011 14:05

O.k. Will give it a go.
Don't mind the odd cigar anyway if it goes wrong.

Eyelasher · 29/10/2011 14:07

Lol at waggle.
I was in sephora Paris when all boys small. Make over woman doing face.
I say " it's got to be fast, I have small children"

She said (with Gallic eye rolling)
"bof, you ''av five minutes non?"

This has been my mission statement ever since.

Those who can dye their own eye brows do

Those who cant , pay Janine with her NVQ2 the minimum wage to do it for them

Nobody loses!
