Primark sizes

Have primark sizes gone really weird recently

Know that they were always quite small but now the seem to run extra small.
Bought skirt (and I haven't put on any weight) and it is way too small. Now have the hassle of taking it back and hoping they have it in a bigger size still.

I always thought they were on the large side!

is it the size you think you bought?? The Primark In Aberdeen used to be utter horrors for shoving stuff on any hanger

Plus since I tried on a dress in tesco once, thought it looked a little tight and tried on the bigger size which would not even do up (so obviously one of them was mis labelled.

Now I always double check label size and hanger AND compare with another garment.

I've always found them to be fairly average. I'm generally a 14 and Primark 14's fit me fine.

Mind you I haven't been in for a couple of years so I could be talking out my bum....

Must check label inside.

That had happened to me before in primark with a shirt. It said 12 on outside label tag but inside it said 6!!
Could barely get it over my wrist.

I think weird is the best way to describe Primark sizes. Used to think they ran large, but then a size medium shirt that I bought (my usual size) was stretched to bursting across my chest. DW reports similar.

Always try on if you can.

I have a size 16 cardigan that measures up a full four inches smaller on the chest than all my other 16s. And it was labelled as a 16, so I didn't accidentally buy a 14!

I've always found that the labelled sizes are, at best, a vague guide to the actual size. I always try everything on.
