And does it wash well? They have some really WARM seeming stuff in there an I was thinking of getting some stuff. It's not cheap, though...

Thanks

i got a top from there the other day and the quality seems quite crappy really, keeping only because of the nice print

coastgirl · 28/10/2011 18:14

It's one of the better-quality High Street clothes shops IMO. They do quite frequent discount/sales events - I get emails from them all the time, so if you can, wait before buying something full price. Currently wearing a knit dress from there that was reduced from £50 to £25 and it's very nice!

I have a cotton tunic which seems to have become twisted in the wash (side seams no longer at my sides!) plus it came complete with a small hole under the arm. Can't be bothered to return it but wouldn't buy from there again tbh.

I think you are paying for the name ,not the quality

cyanarasamba · 28/10/2011 18:18

It's not a great name tho is it? I was offered a free t-shirt with my purchase, but declined. Didn't think I could carry off something with "FAT FACE" emblazoned over the front...

I've a few 'pieces' from there & only a couple of problems;

A denim jacket which shrunk in the wash but which I complained about & they replaced without fuss.

A cardigan which came unstitched & which they offered to refund but couldn't replace because was out of stock.

Overall I think they are good & I like the fact that they deal with any problems very well. Obviously would prefer not to have problems Grin.

I bought a bag from them after a handbag disintegrating disaster whilst in London on a business trip - zip broke within half an hour but I couldn't take it back as I desperately needed a bag as the other one was literally in many pieces and had no time to find another. I've never bought from them since although MIL buys her jeans from them

moonstorm · 28/10/2011 18:21

But the clothes look so warm...!

Hmm.. I might try a couple of things and see how they go. Anyone with good experiences??

The High Street is rubbish, really...

No I meant ,they charge more because some people think wearing fat face clothes means they are cool surfer types [old] Grin

moonstorm · 28/10/2011 18:22

Any better alternatives? I want some nice knits, some lounging/ yoga/ noght stuff. And some layering tunics.

Mixed in my experience.
DD1 (5 years) wears almost exclusively fat face as I find it fits her shape really well. All the children's stuff I've brought washes well and lasts for ages. We have year old dresses that look like new.

I (considerably older!) have 3 items of clothing from fat face and they have all developed holes in seam, poor quality fabric. DH has a t-shirt which I found a hole in the first time I ironed it.

I won't be buying their adult stuff again

moonstorm · 28/10/2011 18:24

How about Sweaty Betty for Yoga pants?

I have had a few things from there that I really liked the cut of BUT I have to say the dye quality seems pretty lousy.... Everything sun fades really badly.
