Where does your hubby buy his suits? DH is in sr management but I've still got no idea where men buy nice suits from without spending a fortune. Please advise!

He doesn't! The one big advantage of going to work in uniform. Well, that, and he looks rather sexy in uniform!

Old Town and Boden
(he got married in a Paul Smith, too)

Interesting to know that Raja Fashions is good, DH needs a new suit or two, and we've been tempted by those sorts of schemes, but without a personal recommendation, not very tempted.

Paul Smith - are they for tall + wide, or just tall? (I know that Boateng suits are lovely, but only for tall + slender. Which is not DH.)

Yes funnily Ted Baker suits aren't great on dh but I bought him a fab leather jacket from there for xmas which fits like a glove

M&S Sale.

I picked a fab one up for him last year. I think I only paid £50 for it too.

dh gets ones you can wash from m and s - also buys 2 pairs of trousers so they last longer
has some good suits that he wears less often

I bought DH a lovely silk Boateng shirt in a sale. The collar size was right, but the shirt ... well, it wouldn't do up.

DH is wider than he should be, but he's not scary wide.

IOTAnnenbaum · 28/12/2005 14:44

dh usually buys Jaegar suits and they seem to last ages

puffoeufnog · 28/12/2005 14:49

dh doesn't need to wear a suit every day - self employed and works from home. If he has to meet clients he needs to look smart and a bit trendyish, so he has a few very good suits that are slightly "different" to the norm - he goes for Dolce & Gabbana, Donna Karan and Oswald Boateng. We go to end of season sales and get them much cheaper.

Mine doesn't wear a suit for work hence loves to wear them for parties and going out.
The Suits You outlets at McArthur Glen (Bridgend or Swindon) have well priced 'label' suits and have more colours than the usual black and navy - got a great tan one to wear to summer weddings

nothing worse than a cheap looking suit..
