Am getting married in Jan in a small informal ceremony, don't want a wedding dress just a beautiful dress as for once I can spend actual money!!! I am big busted at the moment an H cup (breastfeeding) will probably still be bfing in Jan but hopefully will be slightly smaller again...so that rules out anything too low cut, am about a size 12 and 5'3 so there is a constant risk of looking squat...now link me..

If you scroll down this article you can see that Debenhams are doing a copy of the dress Pippa Middleton wore to the evening bash of the royal wedding - could be worth looking at?

celticlassie · 26/10/2011 18:56

or this?

MrsCampbellBlack · 26/10/2011 18:56

Davina is majorly flattering too

You need to get to a personal shopper in a good dept store like selfridges or john lewis and have some fun Smile

Doesn't have to be red or green by any means Mrs C - that last one is lovely, wish the damn model didn't have her hands in her pockets, can't see the shape of the dress!!

Where do you live? Joanne Fleming in Brighton makes bespoke evening wear and you could probably get something designed and fitted to you within your budget. I only paid a little more than that for my wedding dress (although was very simple style). www.joanneflemingdesign.com

If you want something truly special that will fit like a glove, gotta go bespoke.

This deep red velvet baby ceylon dress would be lovely and warm for a February wedding, but maybe too hot for dancing in!

EdlessAllenPoe · 26/10/2011 19:19

long sleeves

sleeveless

How about a Whirling Turban 'Peggy Would' dress? I want one but have no excuse to buy one, sadly. They will shape it to fit from measurements and photos - [www.whirlingturban.com]]

I have one of their dresses & matching bolero and they are lovely quality. They do bridal type fabrics or I think you can source and send your own for them to sew? I want want want a Peggy Would - ((sigh)).

ahhyesiseeyouvepooedonyourfoot · 26/10/2011 19:40

Poo, didn't work www.whirlingturban.com

This is what I'd get with your brief - whirlingturban.com/peggywould.html

Maybe with a little belt with mother of pearl buckle - see the wedding dress pages.

EdlessAllenPoe · 26/10/2011 19:41

this one??

EdlessAllenPoe · 26/10/2011 19:43

this one (available in choice of colours) ?

ahhyesiseeyouvepooedonyourfoot · 26/10/2011 19:43

This one has been closest so far www.q-pid.co.uk/3272-green-satin-v-neckline-evening-dress-869-p.asp but not quite...colour is a bit too tuquoisey and I'm not sure if it would be breast central..not in a good way
