Links of London Sweetie Bracelet

I'm about to leave my job and my colleagues have clubbed together to buy me a leaving present. I'm allowed to pick and me and a colleague/friend are off shopping. She thinks it should be a piece of jewellrey.
I've coveted the Links of London Sweetie Bracelet for a while... But is it a bit dated now? We've £150 to spend and have a Links, Pandora, Goldsmiths, Ernest Jones or Tiffany to spend it in... Anyone have any ideas?

I have 2 sweetie bracelets. I have had them for years before they became popular. I still really like them but if I had £150 to spend I'd buy a Links Bangle.

I'm looking at bangles now... And friendship bracelets... It's so difficult!

i love mine - lovely and weighty - although they are very popular you can 'personalise' them - think have longevity compared to others i have seen...
what lovely colleagues!

MadameCastafiore · 25/10/2011 19:47

I have a couple of them and one of the freindship bracelets and I would say that yes they are dated - the bangles are much nicer.

The sweetie bracelet is dull and ubiquitous. I prefer the one linked to in the post above.

NewChoos · 26/10/2011 09:21

I have one and love it, just have 1 charm on it though that DH got me, I;m not keen on the lots of charms look for some reason.
I don't wear it much now, but I do think it's a classic and you can tell it's not a fake!

Angel786 · 26/10/2011 09:27

Had mine for a few years and still love it.

GhoulsGhouls · 26/10/2011 09:35

What lovely colleagues you have!

I would try not to think about if it is dated/stylish/fashionable/blah blah. Just go for something you really love.

I have a charm bracelet which was a Christening present. It has been added to over the years. I have always worn it, through periods of charm bracelets being so cool and so over. Don't care. I love it.

Disclaimer I am tragically unstylish and it just doesn't matter to me Grin

valiumredhead · 26/10/2011 13:16

Links bangle imo - timeless classic. what nice friends you have :)

CointreauVersial · 26/10/2011 13:21

I think they are everywhere and therefore a bit dated.

CaptainMartinCrieff · 26/10/2011 16:02

Oh dear decisions... Sad

Do you know what I've listened I truly have... But I think I want the sweetie bracelet... I'll look at the bangles while I'm there too! How exciting!
Now I'm just scared about starting my new job!
