Tatty urgent hair dye advice please

Hi as recommeneded by you on my other thread I have used colour b4 to get rid of my dark red hair.I'm now after one packet an auburn/ginger which I fully expected.Before I put ona light ash brown 8 wash would it be worth doing a second covering of colour b4 to take more warmth out???

Also wanted to add thanks so much for suggesting colour b4 I know that no hairdresser would have stripped as much red out of my hair as this product has.I also know my hair would have been absolutely wrecked with bleach and despite my worries about colour b4 damaging my hair I think it actually feels in better condition than it has in ages.[Smile]

That does help thanks.Did you just use one packet of colourb4.I have a nice and easy 8 wash in light ash brown to put on I've stocked up on a couple of packs of that so I can leave my hair to rest for a bit then I'm going to put on the same colour in permanent.I'm hoping to be able to have a few highlights by christmas.Red absolutely wrecked my hair so much has broken off.I haven't been brunette for years so quite looking forwrd to the end result.

Yes I used the extra strength one.I had used 2 applications of live colour xxl red when I first started dyeing it red but it dried my hair sooooo much I stopped and changed to a different brand.In the colour b4 instructions it says that if you have used these dyes it may not work.So I'm really pleased with the results.

I used 2 after red, and it was significantly better after the 2nd application and worth doing. I had used XXL and straighteners and there was a bit of staining but it still moved enough build up and tone to be able to cover over it, with colour, whereas before it was just too deep and rich to hide.

Hope that helps, sorry for delay. You could do the 8 wash today, rest your hair for a few days then do another ColourB4, or you could just do it today if you can bear going out!

Hi Tatty thank you for replying.I'm so glad I asked your advice or I wouldn't have had a clue about colour b4.I used two packs of b4 and then I put an 8 wash on its gone a very light brown and looks like I have some reddy/orangey lowlights going on.It isn't perfect but will do for braving work tomorrow.I'm hoping that when I put a permanent brown on next week it will cover up even more of the warmth creating a perfect base for my highlights.It feels so good to be lighter again.Think I'm definitely meant to be a blonde.x
