I love the colour, material and length but it feels like there's too much material at the back and waist (a bit sacky) I bought a size 8 so I can't size down. Does anyone else find clothes from joules on the larger side? Do you think I nice brown belt would do it or should I cut my losses and send it back?

It was my first order from joules so I was so excited!

I think it looks like an armchair, sorry

everything just seems to have too much material on me...maybe I'm missing something, maybe the sack look is in??

you are a size 8????? come on lady, you can do better than this!

porcamiseria · 21/10/2011 16:06

anhd it cost £74 too!!!!

AnnetteProfit · 21/10/2011 16:12

its ok

makingfruitcake · 21/10/2011 16:16

Oh I love that, but if I were a size 8 I'd be finding something a bit more nipped in.

cyb · 21/10/2011 16:47

No

And no

LesserOfTwoWeevils · 21/10/2011 17:36

It's not a dress, it's a sofa cover. Agree with people saying at size 8 you should be flaunting it, not trying to look like an overstuffed cushion!

mollysmum82 · 21/10/2011 18:07

Aw thank you! What do you reckon then ladies, do you have any flauntier size 8 ideas? Thanks lots

What are your best bits and what if anything would you like to hide? Favourite styles? Colours? Do you wear short dresses?

Nevertooearlyforcake · 21/10/2011 19:34

I own this. It's a bit different from what I usually wear so I was a bit self conscious about wearing it the first time as felt it had more than a whiff of granny's curtains about it and had bought it on a whim. However got loads of complements and have found it to be really versatile, good for work as well as with jeans. If had the legs for it would wear with leggings, haven't tried a belt yet as belted dresses usually look crap on me and don't have the right style of belt but I think it would suit it. Joules sizes are big, I'm usually a ten but take an eight in joules stuff, you might need a six if normally an eight but I don't know if they go lower than eight.

mollysmum82 · 21/10/2011 20:04

Hmm best bits are boobs (when in good bra) and legs. Worst bit is stomach (totally out of proportion and bulging...) No issues with arms/bum etc

Something like this or this? Shows off legs, it's not baggy, so it flatters your size 8 figure, but just hints at a waist.
shape www.dorothyperkins.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?beginIndex=0&viewAllFlag=&catalogId=33053&storeId=12552&productId=3464712&langId=-1&sort_field=Relevance&categoryId=208783&parent_categoryId=226988&pageSize=20 is a bit more figure-hugging, but gentle. Ditto wrap dresses. And this faux wrap style.

LesserOfTwoWeevils · 21/10/2011 20:34

Oops. Let's try that link again.

mollysmum82 · 21/10/2011 20:52

Oh thank you so much - I really like them, the debenhams one is nice and unusual too!
